Just a heads up for people that have the NCR hating you, you wont be able to do this quest while the NCR hates you. I have to do it on my second play thru. You could do it in one play through if you plan ahead and make saves at the right moments.

If you're going for the full 1k that you'll need to be at least 'accepted' or 'liked' by all factions beside Legion and the Ultra Luxe Casino dudes.

Thats why doing most side quests that involve 'NCR', 'Boomers' etc. before completing 'Ring-a-ding-ding' is the best idea if you don't wanna repeat the game multiple times for each ending [4].

Well set it to Very Easy and blast them from a distance with Laser Rifle when they get close just run turn around then jump and fire a missile, rinse andrepeat until there dead; try not to fight more than 2 at the same time unless you want to waste tons of Stimpaks.

For those having trouble with the deathclaws try using VATS and a Ballistic Fist or the Oh Baby Super Sledge, it should kill them in 1-2 hits each.

Wear the NCR outfit and kill everyone that stands in your way and you will get the achievement. No need to be liked.

Hanlon has locked himself in the room, how do I get him out?

This quest is seriously broken right now. I had him stuck in his room, stuck on the balcony and then finally stuck (locked) in his office. I couldn't manage to turn him in. In the end I had to "Keep it a secret" to get this Cheevo.

the message he announces if you turn him in glitches out sometimes. It takes a couple minutes but after that he shoots himself and the door opens back up. BE QUICK if you want the named gun though be cause you have to steal it.

Had to reload a previous save for this one, and even then he was resistant, took a few reloads before he would "turn himself in".. As for the gun, you can pick it up with the RS and find a secluded room to pocket it

If Hanlon won't talk to you the first time you contact him, go out to the balcony (the door at the Top Of The Stairs in Camp Golf, on the side opposite of all the rooms. Now wait until day time (11 AM should be fine)

Hanlon should talk to you now.

So after deciding to turn Hanlon in, it took near about 5 minutes after locking himself in the room, for him to do the deed. Just be patient. If it doesn’t work, reload a save and just try again. Varying times of death.

Most of the Ranger Stations are easy to find but Foxtrot is a pain, you can't reach it from the east as there is no way over the mountains, you access it from the west via a path off the road to Jacobstown.

Also if you have already visited Ranger Station Charlie after talking to Ranger Andy in Novac and discovered the place ransacked you will not need to stop by here as part of this quest.

This mission is given to you by Sargeant Reyes at Camp Forlorn Hope. She'll first ask you to check up on some Ranger Stations, then confront Chief Hanlon on his activities. The achievement will pop up after you've dealt with Hanlon at Camp Golf. Check here for a detailed walkthrough.

Journal Entries:

  1. Deliver the radio security upgrade codes to each of the Ranger Sations
  2. Return to Sergeant Reyes and let her know the radio security upgrade is complete
  3. Find out what else Sergeant Reyes needs you to do.
  4. Confirm Sergeant Reyes' suspicions about the reports from Camp Golf.
  5. Ask Ranger Lineholm about the battle losses at Ranger Station Alpha.
  6. Find out about the Super Mutant Legionary Attack at Ranger Station Delta.
  7. Investigate the Deathclaw attacks on Ranger Station Foxtrot.
  8. Tell Sergeant Reyes that her suspicions about misinformation being fed to the NCR was correct.
  9. Inform Chief Hanlon what you and Sergeant Reyes discovered.
  10. Speak to Chief Hanlon in his office.

This mission is a side quest received in Camp Forlorn Hope from Tech Sgt. Reyes who you'll find in the Command Center. You must not have a bad Reputation with NCR to receive this mission.

The quest is very straightforward. No matter how you choose to handle Hanlon, you'll get the trophy at the end of the mission.

Quite a quick quest. We talk with the radio sergeant in the NKR camp near Nipton. The radio operator has a problem - radio messages are being intercepted. deciphered, which is why the NKR has monstrous losses, because the enemies know everything in advance.

We urgently need to change all codes. Your task is to distribute the holodisks to all ranger deployment points.

The disks were smashed, but a new problem arose - strange reports were coming from the posts.

And again you need to run through all the posts and clarify what is actually happening.

We find out, report to the radio operator, they send us to Golf to find out what’s going on.

We run to Commander Hanlon, talk, are surprised by the news, make a choice...

....

In general, you will have to visit all the posts 2 times, each time returning (that’s why the boomerang!) back to the sergeant-radio operator. After all, this trophy is yours.

Addition:
Hanlon has a unique hunting revolver, the Sequoia. You can steal from a living person in different ways, from a dead person you can take it out of range of the rangers with the help of Z and steal it too (karma decreases).

It's not near Nipton, but east of Novak. Camp Forlorn Hope (in the Russian version apparently Camp of such and such hope). Radio operator Sergeant Race.

in fact, the quest needs to be taken in the Camp Forlorn Hope location in the main headquarters, from the girl’s signalman.
