How to unlock the The House Always Wins achievement in Fallout: New Vegas - Definitive Guide

To get the achievement The House Always Wins you will have to complete all quests given by Mr.House, to start getting missions from Mr.House you will have to enter the New Vegas Strip. To enter The Strip you will have to get a passport the three main ways of getting one of these are, 1. Pay the robot at the entrance 2000 caps, 2. Go to Mick and Ralphs and convince Ralph to sell you a passport for 400 caps or 3. Complete all quests given from The King in the G.I Blues side quest (This will also earn you a achievement). Also pointed out by MetalThreshkeen if you are liked enough by the NCR you will be able to enter The Strip by the train in Camp Mccaren or as pointed out by CRAZYdaan if you feel like you have good enough weapons, try and kill the robots protecting the entrance. Once you have entered a robot should come up to you and tell you to go and see Mr.House in Lucky 38 Casino.

After you complete the quest Ring-a-Ding-Ding given by Mr.House (Also a achievement gained for this) he will give you the set of missions that will unlock the achievement these are;

1.The House Always Wins, I
2.The House Always Wins, II
3.The House Always Wins, III
4.The House Always Wins, IV
5.The House Always Wins, V
6.The House Always Wins, VI
7.The House Always Wins, VII

You will unlock the achievement when you complete the final quest for Mr.House and agree to go to Hoover Dam.
If you having trouble with these quests go to this link http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/The_House_Always_Wins .

FYI I was able to get into The Strip without a passport because NCR liked me enough (NCR: accepted) to let me ride their monorail in from Camp McCarran. I still got asked to go see Mr. House as soon as I walked out of the monorail station.

FYI - it is good to make a save prior to finishing House Always Wins IV and start a new save after it's done that is dedicated to finishing this achievement and All or Nothing. This game requires 4 partial playthroughs (NCR, Legion, Yes Man and House allegiances/storyline) for all of the main quest achievements. Thankfully there is a lot of overlap between each of these paths, but only up to this point. Once #IV is completed you fail the NCR and Legion quests so make sure not to lose your progress prior to it.

After eliminating the Omertas from the equation, when you go back to Mr. House to tell him the Omertas are gone, the only dialog options to come up are the ones telling you to go and deal with the Omertas, and you can not finish the quest. Anybody know's a way to get past this?

"To enter The Strip you will have to get a passport the three main ways of getting one of these are, 1. Pay the robot at the entrance 2000 caps"

This isn't true. You have to submit to a credit check of 2,000 caps. You need to own 2,000 caps at the moment of the check but you keep them, you don't hand them over to the Securitron.

You actually don't have to complete number VI. I can confirm that. Because the NCR didn't like me, so I wasn't able to determine the fate of the president. So I still got it on completion of number VII

for anyone who goes to the fort and shoots their way into the weather station you will find that you can't get to the bunker because cesear has your coin when you get your stuff taken from you when you enter you need to talk to him and then you can continue to go down to the bunker and help mr house.

Main quest mission leading up to the Mr. House ending in "All or Nothing". Note that progress in another ending will cause this mission to fail with the message "The House Has Gone Bust!", making this ending unavailable.

This mission set is actually made up of seven numbered missions for Mr. House to secure his dominance.

  1. Bring Mr. House the Platinum Chip and watch his Securitron demonstration. If you didn't recover the chip when you confronted Benny, you'll have to recover it during part 2.

  2. Take the chip to The Fort and upgrade the Securitrons in the Bunker.

  3. Secure the help of the Boomers. If you've already completed "Volare!" this will be easy. If you want to save time, or they don't like you, Mr. House will also accept eliminating them as a threat.

  4. Look into the Omertas. If you've already completed "How Little We Know" as described in the Road Map, this mission will be completed automatically.

  5. Mr. House will accept nothing less than total destruction of the Brotherhood of Steel. Use the keycards from McNamara, Hardin, and Taggart at the terminal in the VR chamber to generate a self destruct password for the red terminal. Then flee the base.

  6. If you have a Reputation of Accepted or better with the NCR, this mission is the "You'll Know It When You See It" mission. If not, you'll skip immediately to...

  7. Install an override chip at the El Dorado Substation.

Once all seven quests are complete, Mr. House will ask if you're ready for the final battle, which will complete this mission, give you the trophy, and trigger "All or Nothing".

In the conflict, choose Mr. House, and after completing all the tasks “The casino always wins” you will be given this trophy

The quest consists of 7 parts, during which you will need to make decisions regarding other factions: kill them, ignore them, or enlist their support. Personally, I killed the Bombers, and enlisted the support of the others.

I advise you not to immediately destroy the Brotherhood of Steel bunker and complete all their quests in order to give them the opportunity to wear power armor. And also remember that to destroy the bunker, 100 science points are required in order to hack the laptop and activate the self-destruction of the bunker.
