How to unlock the Walker of the Mojave achievement in Fallout: New Vegas - Definitive Guide

The fastest way to get this when you're a low level is to set a destination and walk that way.

On your compass that shows you North, East, South, and West will have little tiny triangles on the bottom of it. (Don't confuse this with the large tally marks that represent quest objectives.) If the small triangle is just an outline and not colored in, that means it is an unexplored location so walk towards it and keep an eye out for points of interest.

But if the small triangle is colored in it marks an already explored area that you may fast travel to.

Tip: The exp gained over time by exploring (Not to mention the looting and killing you will do on the way there.) Serves as a great EXP booster. So leveling should be a bit faster.

(You can also get the 'Explorer' perk at Lvl 20 which reveals all unexplored locations on the map.)

THANK YOU for explaining what the triangles mean! This game really does a horrible job at explaining how things work. It's almost like it assumes you read walkthroughs.

You must discover 50 unique locations in the Mojave Wasteland.

You will likely get this just from doing the main quests.

It is reccomended to purchase the Explorer perk at level 20 or above, as it will revel all locations on your map, making the task a lot easier.

Undiscovered nearby locations will appear as hollow triangles on your compass at the bottom of the screen. Walk towards them to discover it. Rotate to find another hollow triangle. Walks towards it. Repeat 50 items. If you play normally, this should come very easily.

'Discovering' a location is defined as walking there for the first time. You'll get a notification, 10/11exp, and a permanent marker will be added to your map. This achievement is best done over time, and will be acquired over the course of the main storyline.
