How to unlock the A Vault For My Vault achievement in Fallout Shelter - Definitive Guide
All you need to do is accumulate 10000 caps in you're time playing whether this means having them all at one time or if it tracks each cap and adds it to the total to reach 10000 is still unclear to me. I am however leaning towards accumulation because of the fact that I did not have 10000 on me at the time of pop.
I do have a guide video featuring one other achievement if it helps clarify in any way:
- Collecting resources from a production room.
- Rushing a production room successfully.
- Sending a dweller or Mister Handy to explore the wasteland.
- Killing, then looting raiders.
- Selling weapons or outfits.
- Leveling up a dweller (The amount of caps rewarded equates to the dweller's new current level.)
- Levelling up dweller stats at training rooms.
- Completing objectives.
- Receiving them in lunchboxes or in a starter pack, in units of 100, 500 or 3000. Caps from lunchboxes add-up even when 999,999 caps has been reached.
- Finding and selecting the Mysterious Stranger.
- Receive from Bottle & Cappy when they stop and dance.
- Collecting them from the Daily Report.
This achievement just requires you to acquire 10,000 caps. Caps can be acquired a number of ways, from rushing rooms to completing quests and sending dwellers out to explore the wastelands. The Mysterious Stranger is also a good source of caps as he visits the vault fairly often and can be distinguished by his unique sound that plays when he shows up and his light brown overcoat, you just have to find him in your vault. You might also want to complete the quest “Nabbed from Nuka World” as soon as you can, since doing so will unlock a random event where the characters Bottle and Cappy will show up to your vault. These two characters will walk around your vault and when they start dancing and playing music, if you click on them in time, they will give you some bottle caps, and Bottle has a chance of giving you some Nuka Quantum, too.
For this trophy you need to collect 10,000 Caps but you don't need to have them in your possession at one time so feel free to spend them. However, the Caps earned with Objectives, Lunchboxes and Daily Rewards don't seem to count for this trophy. You can have a maximum of 999,999 Caps in your possession but after that, you can't collect them anymore.
There are numerous ways to collect Caps in the game:
- Collecting resources from a production room.
- Rushing a production room successfully.
- Sending a dweller or Mr. Handy to explore the wasteland.
- Killing, then looting raiders.
- Selling weapons or outfits.
- Levelling up a dweller (the amount of caps rewarded equates to the dweller's new current level).
- Levelling up dwellers stats at a training rooms
- Finding and selecting the Mysterious Stranger.
- Receive from Bottle & Cappy when they stop and dance.
