In order to initiate the chasing I had to run around in circles in my room then continue to do that for 1 minute. This is cumulative and does not have to be done all at once.
Scrapdaddy
For this achievement you need to run around your playable area and get your animal to chase you. What I did was just run around in a small circle and the words "Chase Time" appear on the screen. Just keep this message on the screen for a minute and the achievement unlocks. This is cumulative and can be done in segments. For example, 3 runs at 20 seconds each will still work.
