Avalible at least from chapter 13, load it up into the furnace.

If you miss it, load up section 15, grab the flower pot from a room above the vessel up a flight of stairs, then bring it back and burn it.

MISSABLE
Instead of planting the flower in the pot you get access to when you attach the stern, simply throw the plant into the firebox compartment of the engine and burn it as fuel.
This is best done on a second run or through checkpoint select on a run where you grab the missable flower at the beginning of the game (See Cultivating
for details of its location)
