Pause and make sure one of your buddies that is listed in the lower left of the screen has the phrase "Rescue Ready" underneath their picture. Upon making sure that one has that, go loose all your health. At that point you should see a quick scene of your buddy dragging you to safety while the achievement is unlocking. Do be careful cause your buddy only drags you to cover, not completely out of the fight. It will take some in game time before the buddy will be ready to rescue you again, but this can be accelerated by sleeping at a safe house.

If you missed earlier opportunities to get this achievement, you can still get it in Act 2. Towards the end of the last faction mission, you'll meet Paul Ferenc in a hut to the side of your path to the bridge. He'll ask if you'd like him to stick with you. Walk up to him and press . Now simply allow the enemies to kill you and the screen will go black, and then you'll wake up being dragged by your buddy. Here, you'll get the achievement. So if a buddy asks to stick with you, accept it and you'll be able to unlock this achievement.
