How to unlock the Tooled Up achievement in Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon - Definitive Guide
Hi guys !
Firstly, sorry if my english isn't perfect, I'm french.
So, if you need some money to buy all the attachements, kanteroo gave you a method with the dragon, but this method is really boring and long (only 150$ per dragons, so if you need 5000$ for example it's too long ...)
So personally, I use an other method : go in the pause menu, in the option, gameplay (not sure of the name of the menu, cause my game is in french, but i'm sure you'll find it) and then choose "reset the garissons" (try to unlock the achievement "Finish all the Garissons" before doing that)
And then go and finish some garissons. Each melee elimination will give you approximately 40$, and each garissons you will finish will give you 400$.
You have already beaten the game, so your character is really strong, and the map isn't as big as that, so 3 to 5 five minutes are enough for one ganisson. So 500$ in 4 minutes, I think it's better than the dragons, and less boring for sure.
Good luck !

Thank you for the tip with the reset for the garissons. This is the best and fastest way to earn enough money. Thumbs up.

There are 25 weapon upgrades in the game. Weapons such as the Bow, Terror 4000 and Flamer do not have upgrades and do not count towards this achievement.
To see how to unlock a weapon upgrade, go to the store and choose "Weapons" and then choose the gun you want. Each attachment can be unlocked either by beating a side mission or achieving a benchmark number of collectibles, such as finding half of the TV sets or killing one of each animal on the island. None are related to story progression, and I unlocked this achievement after the third story mission of the game, as that's when I attacked all the garrisons, which in turn unlocked all the side missions.
The total credits you need to unlock all the weapons is $43,150. Below is a list by weapon, starting with the total costs for all attachments for the weapon, and then a breakdown of what each attachment costs.
A.J.M: $5,100
Suppressor: $400
Laser Sight: $1,200
Larger Mag: $1,500
Max Mags : $2,000
Fazertron: $11,850
Light Barrel: $750
Grip: $1,000
Extended Mag: $1,100
Full Auto: $2,000
Even Larger Mag: $1,500
Mag Pouch: $2,000
Laser Rounds: $3,500
Galleria 1991: $13,250
Extended Mag: $750
Double Barrel: $1,000
Semi-auto Upgrade: $1,500
Really Huge Mag: $1,750
Bandolier: $2,000
Quadruple Barrel: $2,500
Fire Rounds: $3,750
Kobracon: $12,950
Extended Mag: $1,000
High Powered Scope: $1,000
Fog Scope: $1,250
Aim Stabilizer: $1,500
Big Ol' Box Of Ammo: $2,200
Semi-auto Upgrade: $2,750
Explosive Rounds: $3,250
litepink noted there was a glitch to refill ammo for free and conserve cash, but this may have been patched:
"If you have a weapon with little to no inventory, swap it out of the weapon wheel with a different weapon from your inventory. Then, swap your weapon back into the wheel. Just like that, you have full ammo. For a gun like the Terror 4000 that saves you $700 each time."

This is a easy way to get money by killing dragons over and over again in case you are like me and don't have enough money for all the attachments. Dragons give about $191 a kill
1.Fast Travel to the Outpost on X:521.7, Y:466,5
2.Then use the right entrance to leave the Outpost.
3.Go a few steps forward until the Way splits and throw some hearts to the left side.
4.Wait a few seconds and go left and there should spawn a Dragon.
5.Kill him
6.Press start to get in the Pause Menu
7.Save your game manually
8.Quit to main menu,
9.Continue your game,
10.Fast travel to the Outpost
11.Repeat

Hey all,
First time posting a guide so if it's hard to read i apologize!
If you haven't completed the campaign and require funds i highly suggest doing the last mission of the campaign. Here's why:
Once you get through front gate of the garrison you're raiding to get to Sloan, you will need to proceed to the second area where the Elite Omega soldiers (yellow ones) start to spawn in.
If you kill them and pilfer their bodies you get around $50-100 per body. Usually only 3-4 spawn at a time but if you go back the previous area you were in, they respawn and you will be able to kill them over and over..
Honestly i think this way is a lot easier to do than doing Garrisons or killing blood dragons.

If you were unable to acquire enough cash to unlock all weapon attachments throughout the main story plus side missions like I was unable to, then resetting the garrisons should be plenty to get you enough. One garrison warranted me $1k+ by pilfering all dead combatants. Make sure you pilfer after each kill, as bodies do despawn quite fast in this game.
