You can get all of the letters of the lost easily by just buying the item maps sold by the sellers under the map section (I.E. Items: Amanaki, Items: Badtown, etc.) Then just go to your map and you can see them all on there. Set a waypoint and you will be on your way to finding all the letters.

This solution is fine. I just did it and had no issues with it. No need to have it removed from the site because others had some bug or glitch that prevented it.

There's a total of 20 Letters of the Lost scattered about the islands. The Letters normal locations are in bunkers or near old artillery sites.
As you play through the game and unlock new Radio Towers, you'll notice a Letter icon on you map. These are the Letters of the Lost.
