How to unlock the Magic Mushroom achievement in Far Cry 3 Classic Edition - Definitive Guide

This is story related and can not be missed. It occurs very early in the game.
You are told to go to the cave to get mushrooms and is given to you after meeting the "doctor".

Not missable,however, some have had the achievement fail to unlock, so it is possible the achievement is currently glitched.

That's weird, I didn't have any trouble. Did you check the achievement hub to see if it popped and just didn't show it? I've had that happen before...

Don't touch this game until it's officially released. Story achievements are glitched right now.

Didn't pop. I'm way, way past this point in the game.

Hope there's a patch or something. I mean, it's not SO FAR into the game that I wouldn't run through again to get it, but it'd be a real drag to do so just for a glitch.
