How to unlock the Free Fall achievement in Far Cry 3 - Definitive Guide
Here is my Solution for this Achievement.
to Live after a 100 Meter fall you must fall into deep Water (its on the map slightly darker)
to reach 100 Meter you have 2 Option, a Glider or during the Main Story when you fly with Willis to the second Island.
For the Willis Way, after you jump out of the Airplane and you shall used the Wingsuit, dont use the Suit, simple fall down.
The Mission fails but you get the Achievement. You have only 1 Chance to do that, after you used the Wingsuit its over and never came back.
For the Gliderway (which i showed in my Video). Go to the Location from the Video (is one of many).
Use the Glider and fly a way to the darker Water (which is straight forward)
After you reach the Water, release over the X Button the Glider and fall down. Thats all.
Regards
To the southeast of the objective for quest three there is a big circular hole of water, coordinates approximately X:495.6, Y:792.3
Follow the trail to the top and jump off the highest point.
EDIT: Some people have reported this location was not working for them, you can find their workarounds in the comments.
100 meters is? 328.083 feet (328 feet 11/64 inch).
When you get to the story quest "lin cong I presume" you have to climb down a mountain with a little lake in it. Instead of climbing down i walked around the mountain searching for the highest place. Should be the opposite site of where you start the quest. I pressed down LS and jumped and the achievement unlocked :)
In my opinion the easiest way to get this and you save some time :)
Y:739.6
There are two cliffs facing each other with a thin narrow gap for you to fall in between.
Try not to hit the wooden platform when you go down.
Before you give me a negative vote, please explain yourself why you did it and I will be more than happy to improve my solution. Thank You.
If you are following the storyline, you will get to the a temple to get a mission to Investigate Badtown (Bad Side Of Town). Chapter 5 or so... You will need to make waste of some pirates on the way to and up the hill. At coordinates X591.1, Y:686.1 there is a old warehouse building with empty semi-trailers laying around the yard. From here. look directly south and you will see a road/trail heading up a hill. Climb to the top by following the looping trail. (I have done this twice now to verify the location).
As a side note, you will find a relic in a cave on the way up the mountain, just follow the path, you can't miss it. Coordinates X:605.3, Y:673.0.
At the top of the hill is a hang glider. You will need to steer it east towards the ocean. Just keep pulling back on the left joystick and you will maintain the necessary altitude. Use the right joystick to look down and as soon as you are above DARK blue water, press X to release. Achievement Unlocked!
Cheers!!
Freefall more than 100m and live (Single Player only).
An easy achievement (if you find a glider high enough), Gliders are usually found around Radio Towers once you've activated them, Get in to the Glider and then head for water, once you're over the darker blue water Press X to release yourself. One thing to point out is that there is no altitude gauge, so stay at the same height you left the glider ramp at, just keep pulling down on the LS, you can use the RS to look down and judge when to release.

Text Guide:
This Text Guide will explain how you can unlock this Achievement / Trophy easily, by doing either of the 2 methods explained below. These 2 methods are the easiest I have found:
First method: You can do this method as soon as you Liberate the 'Amanaki Outpost' on the Northern Island. You will want to head NORTH of the Amanaki Outpost where you'll find a large Sink Hole Pond (large blue circle north of the Outpost on your map). Once you're there, look for the highest possible cliff you can jump off of there. When you're ready, jump off the highest point and make sure to NOT touch ANY BUTTONS when falling. You don't want to risk performing the diving action. If you perform the diving action, you will NOT unlock this Achievement / Trophy.
Second method: Surprisingly, a lot of people have had trouble unlocking this at the Sinkhole Pond North of the Amanaki Outpost. So I discovered an easier way to unlock this Achievement / Trophy... and a method which will make SURE that you unlock it :) The second method will require you to gain access to the Southern Island. The first time you will gain access to the Southern Island is on the 28th story mission in the game called "Fly South". During that mission, you will unlock the Wing Suit and the Parachute (which you will need for the jump).
Anyways, when you're on the Southern Island, head over to an Outpost on the Western side called "Gaztown". Then head West of the Outpost, along the main road until you reach a turn and see a wodden road barrier. Simply jump off, activate your Wing Suit by pressing Left Stick once, then 2-3 seconds after activating your Suit, press 'A' (or X for PS3) to open your Parachute. Once you've opened your Parachute, hold your Left Stick forward so you can reach the water faster. Once you get passed the last few rock formations in the water (shown in the video), let go and make sure to NOT touch ANY BUTTONS when falling. Your Achievement / Trophy should then unlock when you hit the water!
There will be many other guides which will show you the locations of HANG GLIDERS where you can launch off of mountains and potentially unlock the Achievement / Trophy, but a lot of the time, the Hang Gliders aren't there (like they are in the guys' video), or you end up being too low.
I hope this has helped you! Please us know if this has helped by thumbing up this solution or by Liking the video on Youtube. Thank you :)

Co-ordinates for the glider are X:507.0, Y:796.4.
I reached the achievement here, find the highest point where you can jump following my coordinates and press "A" button falling in the water. If you fail you can teleport to "Amanaki" and go back at destination using a car you find outside the village.
Don't even go out of the way for this achievement, when you are required to use a wingsuit going to the other island just don't use it, Achievement unlocked.
Throughout the game you'll come across gliders which are in most cases on the high hills of the island. Only a few of these though are high enough to reach the 100m mark. The earliest and best one is on the upper left side of the island which you'll head over to early on in the game. Head to these coordinates - X: 442.4, Y: 651.1 - to find the glider. Now grab hold of it with and glide out to the water in front of you.
Don't move the gliders position and just head straight. Keep looking down with the until you're over the water and when you're in a good position, hold to drop from the sky. Once you hit the water, the achievement will unlock.
Go to the coordinates X: 442.4, Y: 651.1. In the top right corner of your map, the coordinates are shown. There is a Glider on a high mountain. It's almost on the top so you will need to climb your way up. After reaching the yellow Glider you need to press to use it. Do not not steer while you are in the air! Keep gliding until you reach the ocean. Once you are over the ocean press to exit the Glider. You will then fall into the water and unlock the trophy.
