How to unlock the Love the Boom achievement in Far Cry 3 - Definitive Guide

Another easy place to get this is on the second island, if you activate the side quest "fathers burden", the third guy you have to kill is stood in a group of 5, fire an rpg or cook a grenade and the achievement is yours

Edit: You can also get the achievement for earning $1500 player poker during this quest. Just go all in everytime

Note while the method for the poker achievement has worked for a lot of people, a couple have pointed out that they have lost. I advise making a save on a usb stick beforehand if you're worried about this.

Just a heads up don't use an RPG because the car next to them will blow up causing a second explosion and thus no achievement.

Good solution. RPG works fine if you aim for the two guys away from the car. They were to the right of the car as I approached.

Hi buddy, i really dont know what would help, i havent played the game for a good while. Have there been any updates recently that might have made it glitch? Try clearing your cache? If not maybe start a new game and try the "blowing up a truck at an outpost method" as i think that would be the one most readily available, rather than playing through the game again to get back to the second island.

I tried to shot with the rpg at 4 enemies, they died but i didn' t unlocked the achievement. Why?

Hi I'm really pissed as this is my final single player achievement I need and it's glitched and I've tried your guide and also every other guide on TA and it still won't pop so could you please reply if you have any idea how I can get the achievement thanks in advance. Also I've tried this guide with the grenade launcher,RPGs ,c4,grenade and explosive arrow.

This one is bugged for me playing on XSX, i both killed the drunk gard + the 3 that arived by car and the last guy + 3 guards (and a dog) with the RPG but it didnt pop up. I hope i can manage to get it with one of the two last outpost i still have...

I got it shortly after posting this. I did reboot the game before continuing, on my second to last outpost 2 boats spawned as reinforcements and trigged directly after the explosion, it were about 7-8 at once that might have helped 🤷‍♂️

Liberated all Outposts already?

This is the guide for you, seriously the easiest way. I got it on my first try.

There's a chance when you arrive enemies could be in another formation but it's not an issue. Just stroll away ( I went West just down to the dirt road and back 50 ft or so when the music changes) and come back and they'll be reset.

What's glitched about it for you? Are you killing four enemies at once, with one single explosion? This was the last achievement I needed as well and the video I found on Youtube was the easiest method I was able to complete after trying many others.

Really easy way to get this achievement is by doing the Trial of the Rakyat: "Frag me Up" (coordinates X:647,2 Y:763,9). You have unlimited grenades and enemies keep coming in cars and helicopters.

If you don't get the achievement when the timer runs out just replay the trial until you get it. I got it on my second try.

Easiest way to unlock the achievement for me was by having the guards raise the alarm in an outpost, wait for the reinforcements to arrive and shoot the jeep with 4 enemies in with the RPG.

I made a video with the, in my opinion, best location for that.
You can use C4, a grenade or the RPG as well or if you're lucky enough even with a mine.
But I suggest C4 or a grenade.

I have found a place that there are 4 enemies that stay there all the time and never separate from each other.

X:742.9
Y:712.8

(Where the relic is)

Once you have approached the destination, make sure your stealthy because the enemies will separate. You can cook a grenade (which seems to be the easiest way to do it). If the enemies do separate, either fast travel or quit to the main menu and load the game back up. I'm very certain that those 4 enemies will stay on the location forever (even after you kill them).

Sometimes Tigers or Bears attack the enemies, so quickly kill them, before the predators do!

EDIT #1 I have found out that the 4 enemies will no longer be in that location. The reason for this is because when you go through the storyline, (before going to the second island) the Rakyat will be there instead. Make sure you go to the spot as soon as possible to get your 4 kills with an explosive.

EDIT #2 If anyone is having trouble with this Achievement, then reset your skills by “Reset Outposts” in the gameplay options menu. OR recover your Gamertag.

I found a good strategy to get this. If you go to an Outpost with the knife only guys, you can make them chase you around until the reinforcements arrive. Once they do, make them chase you to the jeep and then use whichever explosive you have and you'll get a minimum of 4 every time. I made a video to accompany this. You can see exactly what I do, after struggling to get this achievement for some time.

Another way to do this is if you are on the South Island but haven't finished the main story or liberated all the outposts. Go to the North Krige Crest site to liberate it. Take along an RPG-7, get yourself on the hill to the North overlooking the outpost without being spotted. You can then get a good view of the whole site. There are 2-3 guards permanently stationed in front of one of the alarm panels in the centre of the compound and 2 others regularly walk past these other 3 guards and usually stop for a few seconds. All you have to do is fire an RPG at the spot where they are standing and you get the achievement. Needless to say make sure at least 4 are in the RPG kill zone before firing.

Note there will probably be 3 wild boar near your firing position. Kill them silently before you start your attack on the outpost as they can become distraction or give away your position if you leave them alive.

It is easy just make sure you let them cluster as you see in the video we and you will earn the Love the Boom achievement for for Far Cry 3. Follow along and soon you too will have the "Love the Boom" achievement smile

Hey guys,

Just found a spot on the southern island. The exact coordinates are (X:206,5 , Y:330,7). At this spot, you will find 5 enemies hanging around, not moving or doing anything. Just cook a grenade or use the RPG (whatever you prefer) and you should get at least four of them.

* As I am still in midgame, I am not entirely sure if these guys will be at the spot forever.

* The enemies stand in front of a cave entrance, in which you can also find a relic.

THIS IS VERY EASY

You can do this as part of the story. The mission on the second island where you need to take pictures of a meeting and then blow up the trucks with an rpg is the perfect spot for this (The mines with all the zip lines). All you need to do is aim for the center of the bridge and you will pop the achievement. Go to the vantage point it tells you to go to take the picture, zipline down towards the bridge. This is the part where you have 45 seconds to take out the vehicles. Keep running forward and there is an rpg on barrels, turn left and run onto the bridge and aim at the center of the bridge where the two trucks are and let er rip. Achievement popped.

***I was playing through this again and unlocked this again while just playing through the story mode. The mission where you need to get into the bunker and then blow up the communications dish on the second island is another good level to do this. I tossed c4 into the crowded bunker and got this achievement on my alternate account. This level is full of crowded spots in the underground bunker to get this achievement and there is an abundance of c4 lying around as well.

Easy done on the Trial of the Rakyat called: "Transport Destruction" (X:756.5, Y:745.9).

You're up on a hill and have unlimited RPG, and enemies respawn in cars and helicopters...
Just keep continuing firing at vehicles, waiting for the moment in which you'll get two cars one next to the other and boom: the achievement will pop

Geoff and Ray show you how and where to get the Love the Boom Achievement in Far Cry 3. Great tip from Geoff is use to the grenade launcher to kill the three guys in the car next to another guy to get this achievement.

I'm sure there are many places in the game that this can be done in but I found the chapter where you ambush Vaas' party and climb the water tower to snipe to be the easiest, about 5 cars will rock up loaded full of troops and a simple RPG shot will send then flying

During Black Gold, you will have to go to the Depot with Sam, a lot of close corner situations with more than 4 enemies. What I did is toss a C4 in a hallway where multiple enemies were, and detonate. Easy achievement.

I know this is ancient and you'll actually get it by accident but if you haven't, wait till you get to the 2nd island (NE side) and find a story quest called Father's Burden (you can get the $1500 poker winnings trophy here as well). Play through the quest, which is in 3 parts. When you get to the third part you'll be told to retrieve something off a merc. He's on the side of a hill with 3 of his buddies all stood in a circle. As long as they don't see you, just fire an RPG or GL round into the middle of them to guarantee the 4 kills.

This can be unlocked with any weapon or equipment that gives of an explosion, so don't be nailed down by one thing. Personally the best is the RPG-7 which can be found at any store under the Launchers menu or obtained for free by unlocking Radio Towers. Now for the best chance at getting this, head to any un-liberated Outpost. Once you arrive, make sure you get caught and the enemy NPCs set off the alarm. Now wait out the battle until the reinforcements arrive. Keep an eye on the map of the location they're coming in from and wait there. Once they arrive, it'll be a convoy of 2 vehicles and it's the second one you're going to want to shoot with your RPG-7.

If you get the hit, the vehicle holds 4 enemy NPCs and the they'll all die and the achievement will unlock.

Get an explosive weapon from a weapon locker or general store. The RPG-7 rocket launcher works best. You can either buy it or activate radio towers to get it for free. Now go to the Welshore Wrecker's House Outpost (coordinates X: 437.9, Y: 795.0) and make some noise until the enemies activate the alarm. Wait for the reinforcement Jeeps to arrive, but keep at least one Outpost guard alive. In the second Jeep (the one without the turret) is usually 4 soldiers. Shoot this vehicle with your rocket launcher before the soldiers get out. Alternatively you can also plant some C4 and group up some enemies, then blow it up. If it doesn't work on your first try simply get yourself killed and you should respawn somewhere around the Outpost and can try it again. Just don't kill the last Outpost guard before getting the trophy.
