How to unlock the What a Trip achievement in Far Cry 3 - Definitive Guide

This is called

What a Trip : Attend the final ceremony

Story related, you cannot miss it. It will pop at the end of credits roll that is quite long, at least 10 minutes. There are a choice to be made before the final confrontation, better to save beforehand to see the difference.

I saved before doing the 'Poker Night' mission.
But it sucks that you have to redo ALL of that just to see the other ending.

killjoy4life, I got this achievement yesterday and had no issues with it, so probably it is not glitched. I can tell you exactly where/when I got it: after the credits rolled (I skipped it after a while), the game asked me if I would like to continue my adventure, and along with that question came the achievement. I hope your problem will be solved, good luck!

For those complaining about not getting the cheevo you need to select whether you want to end the game after the credits (which can be skipped)

I'm not sure what happened to me, but I'm pretty sure I've completed all story related missions and I don't have this achievement. I'd prefer not playing through the entire game again just for this, so could anyone confirm my predicament? I have all icons visible on the map, and the only missions I see are the blue optional missions (story, hunter, wanted), and the Lost Expedition missions. Did I already complete the game and somehow missed this achievement? I have played this game multiple times already on different platforms, so I know I've beat it before, just unsure if I completed it on the 360. Any info is appreciated.

This can be quite a challenge when you get to the air base. So stock up on health syringes and the invincible syringes too. I took an RPG, the Shredder and a Sniper rifle. As you approach the base, flank them to the left and tag all the enemies with the camera. Then take them out. Keep going around to the left and repeat. Riley is in the building with the Juggernaut. Once in the chopper, it's all down to your gunning skills. Then once done, just keep following the cut scenes until game credits roll for your 100g.

I suggest invincible syringes (no damage taken for 30 secs.) I had 12 in all as soon after the knife fight with the final boss inject yourself with one and run like hell then when it's about to run out inject another and repeat the process you should be safe until you reach the chopper with Riley then like DecadentBeaver said it's up to your gun skills

Good suggestion. I really did fail nearly by forgetting to go into the final mission without many syringes. Would have faired a lot better otherwise.

For me I took the same weapons you suggested... but when I entered the base I drove the jeep as far as I could, running over anyone in my way and went to the far back right corner. If you do that... the helicopter attacking you will hover almost right over you and you can get a clean shot at it with the RPG. After that the enemies only have two ways in. Either thru the door of the hanger to your left or past the crates/blocks in front of you. You can simply sit there and pick them off as they come out around the corners easily. Then take out the Juggernaut with the sniper rifle (there is one that is a specialty or signature weapon that is very powerful and will take him out easily from a distance. Still it is a very fun level and for me... the helicopter ride was alot of fun!!! :)

This is the final story-related trophy that you can unlock via normal campaign progression.

You need to bust Riley out of the prison, hijack a chopper and then land at Citra's temple. You are given a choice on how to end the game. You can choose either one. (If you want to see both endings, just replay the last mission and make the other choice.)

The trophy will pop at the end of the 10-minute long credits.

This trophy will unlock automatically by playing through the story. You will get it after completing mission 38. The difficulty does not matter.
