How to unlock the All Clear achievement in Far Cry 4 - Definitive Guide

There are a total of 24 outposts ranging in difficulty (easy - medium - hard). You can discover all of them by hacking the bell towers.

The best method for all outposts is using a silenced sniper from a distance. Here are some useful tips.

- Use the camera cn_up to tag enemies and locate the alarm boxes.

- Shoot the alarm boxes when enemies aren't near them. They can be alerted if they witness the alarm box being destroyed.

- Free locked animals by shooting the lock off a cage. They can take out most the enemies.

- Watch out for mortars by the icon that appears of your screen.

- Go for headshots which kill all human enemies in 1 hit including heavy gunners.

- For the harder outposts keep an RPG or grenade launcher on you to take out helicopters if reinforcements get called in.

- Manually save before approaching the outpost so you don't have to travel there again if you fail.

- Monitor the detection meter, if it starts to fill quickly crouch or run to a form of cover (trees, bushes etc).

- Once the final enemy has been killed the screen flashes a colour and switches to slow motion.

No pop for me, it's now over a week after I finished the 24th outpost. I've subsequently finished all the towers and fortresses, completed the story, tried replaying a few outposts, done other side quests, even reset my Xbox, cleared the cache and reinstalled the game, but nothing. Not the only non-popper for me on this game, pathetic Ubisoft.

Oddly, although the ingame stats correctly says I've done all outposts, in the Xbox stats it says 23/24 so one didn't get counted somewhere, and the achievement system must be counting it from there and not ingame.

just a tip, if this achievement does not unlock for you, go to the options and look for the option to restart all outposts, then complete an outpost and the achievement should unlock

In order to earn this trophy, you will need to liberate every Outpost in the game. Outposts are basically an enemy headquarters and you will have to "liberate" it by killing every enemy in the area. You can easily spot them as you'll see black smoke in the sky. Use your camera with to tag every enemy in the area. You can either stealth your way into taking over an outpost or gun your way through. Triggering an alarm will also result in reinforcements that you'll have to kill as well. Avoid this by disarming alarms, being detected, and not letting an enemy raise an alarm. You can disable alarms by holding down while being next to one. Outposts can easily be found on your map from the menu, with a icon. You can set a waypoint by highlighting the icon from the map to make it easier to reach the desired outpost. Liberating an Outpost also has it's benefits, like being able to fast travel from that location, as well as unlock new "activities", so it's very important to liberate as many Outposts as you can early on in the game. Once you've liberated all 24 Outposts, the trophy will unlock. Liberating every Outpost also gives you the choice to reset every outpost again.

The best advice that we can give you, is to stealth your way through most of these outposts when trying to liberate them. Disable alarms. If you get caught do not panic. You can also leave the area and re-enter to try to liberate it again without being detected. It's highly recommended to also use the M-79 (Grenade Launcher) sidearm to kill enemies more efficiently if you should chose to gun your way through an outpost. Also bear in mind that outposts in the Northern area of the map are much harder to liberate as enemies have better armor, plus you'll have to face Heavys as well. Gunning your way through these Outposts can be quite challenging so proceed with caution. You can also call Guns For Hire by selecting if you've purchased tokens from any Trader Posts, across Kyrat.

You can check how many outposts you have liberated, and your progress from the menu. There's a small statistic titled "Open World" from the "Progress" section.

The best tactics when liberating outposts:

- if you want to get more XP, act unnoticed and secretly;

- do not forget before clearing the outpost, turn off the alarm system (yellow boxes on the poles where the loudspeakers are installed); they can be turned off manually or at a distance from a bow or weapon with a silencer;

- use cages with animals with a bow or a weapon with a silencer and release the animal;

- we shoot enemies with a sniper rifle (from afar) and move from place to place, changing position so as not to be detected;

- use a hill and shoot mercenaries from there with a sniper rifle with a silencer;

- you can sneak into the camp and do everything quietly.

You can liberate outposts by noisily shooting left and right, but I like to clear them quietly and get maximum pleasure from the game.

There are a total of 24 outposts in the game.

So you'll have to be patient. On the other hand, liberating an outpost gives you some bonuses:

1. Fast movement point.

2. Shop for trade.

3. Experience points (as written in the tooltip above).

4. Additional tasks (again for experience and for leveling up the character).
