How to unlock the End Transmission achievement in Far Cry 4 - Definitive Guide
There are a total of 17 Bell Towers in the game, so you will only need to liberate half of them. It's highly recommended to liberate as many Bell Towers as you can however, because liberating a Tower unlocks that area in the map and shows the roads. Not liberating a Tower shows clouds on the map, that is why it's important to liberate as many Towers as you can. To liberate a Bell Tower, you will have to first go to a Bell Tower location. They all have a icon on the map from the menu and look similar when you're near one. You can see them from far away as they almost look like lighthouses. You must climb the tower and reach the top to destroy the radio box. Reaching the top is almost like a mini puzzle, as you have to figure out how to climb to the top. There is an easy way to reach the top however and that is with the Buzzer helicopter, with one of these you can actually fly to the top of these towers and land by the radio box. This saves a lot of time.
You can find Buzzer helicopters from these locations:
- Kyrat Intl. Airport X: 278.5 Y: 596.8
- Shanath X: 446.8 Y: 597.6
- Ghale Homestead X: 519.3 Y: 575.3 (Note: You must purchase the "Buzzer" item for the Ghale Homestead purchased by the Trader just outside the house. Yes, you have to spend rupees for it but it's guaranteed to spawn everytime).
- Varshakot X: 509.9 Y: 433.0
There are many other locations where you can find a Buzzer in the game. Sometimes the Buzzer won't spawn so you'll have to travel to these locations continuously. The only guaranteed location that it will spawn every time is from the Ghale Homestead. Also bear in mind that some of these bell towers might not be possible to liberate with a Buzzer, as a Buzzer can only go so high before it starts to lose control on its own. You will know when this happens as you'll hear an alert sound go off and your light will start beeping red. This does not apply for most of the Bell Towers however. It's mostly for the Bell Towers in the mountains. Once you've liberated your 8th Bell Tower, the trophy will unlock.
You can check how many Bell Towers you have liberated, and your progress from the menu. There's a small statistic titled "Open World" from the "Progress" section.
