How to unlock the Like A Bird achievement in Far Cry 4 - Definitive Guide

Normal Method:
Buy the Wingsuit on any Weapon Locker or Merchant for $25000 and every Time you fall down, use it with cn_LS

Boosting Method:
Fast travel to the Outpost called Khilana Bazaar (X: 299 Y: 426) Use the Buzzer here and fly to the Bell Tower (X: 272.4 Y: 443.7) in the near. Land on the highest Plattform (next-to-last is the highest) and jump down in the direction of the lake, open immediately after take-off the wingsuit with LS and fly down. Before you land use the Parachute for a safe landing, then fast travel back to the outpost and repeat the Steps. You will need 15-20 Minutes for all 5000 Meter.

Another way to boost this is just to fly straight up in any buzzer and when you reach maximum altitude (the second set of beeping and the engine stops) jump out and immediately use the wingsuit. Hold back on the left tumbstick while using the wingsuit and you can easily get 300m+ per trip

I was close, just needed one jump with your method. Worked perfectly. Also if you land in the lake you don't need to pull your chute. It doesn't hurt Ajay at all to land in the water

For anyone who's curious, if the only other time you used your wingsuit is during the campaign missions, like me, it should take you 4-5 jumps using this method to obtain the achievement once the campaign is finished

I got this while doing one of the Shangri-La missions. One of them has you flying, which counts as the wingsuit. The mission involves a lot of flying around.

I suggest (to boost) going to Varshakot Fortress once it has been captured. There is a buzzer almost immediately outside the save room. Fly it towards the West while going as high as possible. (Set the brick factory as a waypoint for reference as where to aim) As soon as the alarm on the buzzer goes off, jump out and deploy your wingsuit. Since the land slopes downward the whole way, you're able to pretty much fly the whole way to the river. Pushing forward and then pulling back on the LS helps, as it makes you 'boost' a bit forward and gain just a little more momentum. I did this and set a waypoint from where I landed back to Varshakot and it read 1700m. So doing this 3 times should net the achievement, especially if the player has already used the wingsuit a bit.

Buy the Wingsuit through the storage that's in all the Trading Posts or from the Traveling Salesman that are walking around the map for a cost of 25,000.

Fast Travel to Khilana Bazaar which is directly east of Banapur (1st Trading Post you find in the story).

Go out of the building and turn right and go up the hill to find the Buzzer (Helicopter).

Press cn_X to get in and then cn_A to get altitude, while pushing forward until you see a large building below you. By this time if you have kept your finger on cn_A you will hear an alarm.

As the alarm goes off press cn_X to jump out of the Buzzer then quickly press cn_LS to use your Wingsuit. Aim for the water that you can see in front of you and glide as far as possible. You don't need to use the Parachute as landing in water does not kill you.

Once you hit the water press cn_back to get the Map back up and repeat.

It took me about 10 minutes and 5 or 6 jumps. Enjoy

That's an excellent method, FoolsAndKings. Thanks! It took me about 20 minutes, but I'd never used the wingsuit before. One other thing I should mention, and it might just be with me, but playing your video crashed Chrome on my tablet.

Sorry to hear that it crashed Chrome, not sure why as I have never used it before. The video was the one that you can make using your Xbox One. Glad it helped

Go to the Chal Jama Monastery (X:491 Y:500) and use your wingsuit after jumping off the southern cliff. The front of the monastery has an updraft so you can wingsuit in circles until you get the achievement.

All the above are ok, but you will get this just through two missions during normal play
I got it after those but had also flown around a small bit during normal play. I don't think you need to 'boost' this to get the achievement.

What i found to be the easiest way to get this was to go to the Ghale Homestead that you acquire after a couple hours of story progression. From here make your way to the nearest cliff overlooking the lake below and simply jump and deploy your wingsuit. No need to worry about killing yourself from fall damage as long as you land in the lake. Respawn at the Ghale Homestead and repeat for 15-20 minutes until your achievement pops

For this achievement I recommend just wingsuit off of ledges instead of zip line. I think you can mostly just get it by just playing through the campaign. You will get LOTS of meters playing through Willis's missions.

You dont have to do this from the ground. You can also jump into a gyro and fly as high up as you can (till the point it starts beeping), jump out with x and open up your wingsuit.

There are some places that have a gyro(varshakot, khilanabazaar and some more places).

I put this message up for extra info on how you can also do this without doing it from some vantagepoint.

Super Easy No-Brainer Method

The very last mission that Yogi & Reggie (the "Y" missions) give you drops you from a freaky high starting point (You can't see anything you are so high) into a lake. If you finish this mission, and DO NOT get a checkpoint, every time you die you will respawn at this freaky high start point.

So just repawn, glide for almost 2000m into the ground, then repawn until the achievement pops.

This is also really fun.

P.S. Don't glide near Outposts. This will sometimes activate an "Outpost Under Attack" side mission. This will screw it up.

Every time you liberate a Bell Tower simply jump and deploy the wingsuit.
First, make sure you observe which way to jump that will give you the furthest distance.
This way it saves having to waste time doing rinse and repeat methods as you're getting the distance via playing Bell Tower missions.

For working it you need a outpost with a gyrocopter and, buy the wingsuit. I've use gyrocopter of the first outpost, you have water at 500 meters on north. Up as high your gycopter can, press cn_S then cn_LSc3 and cn_LSd. If you finish in water you'll never die and can fly more. The trophie will pop when you fly.

Edit: like CrucialVelocity said in comments, its a mission later in the game you need to fly 1000-2000m with wingssuit. This mission start at airport on north's map. It will be effective to use my trick after completing that mission.

There's also a particular storyline mission where you do a big wing suit flight (seemed something like 1000m-2000m i.e. a lot) - trophy triggered for me when doing this.

Later on in the game, you can buy the Wingsuit from the Trading Posts, it can be found at the bottom of the "Items" tab and it costs 50,000R. The Wingsuit is essentially a glider, but one you can use at any time. You just need to jump off a cliff or high spot and you will get a prompt saying " Wingsuit". If you press that, you will activate your Wingsuit and be able to glide, much like how the glider works. When you get low to the ground, another prompt will come up saying to press to use the parachute.

If you don't have this trophy by the time you complete the game, an easy way to farm it is by jumping off the cliff by the "Ghale Homestead" (X:521 Y:577) over and over. If you go behind the tent where Yogi & Regi where staying there is a sheer drop down towards the forest below. You can jump off here and get a good few hundred meters before you need to parachute. You fly a few thousand meters as part of the story missions, so it won't take you long. Once you land, simply fast travel back to the homestead again, and jump off. Repeat until the trophy unlocks.

(The image above shows exactly where the aforementioned cliff is).

First you need to purchase this very Wing Suit. It costs only 25,000 rupees. Next, we move to this point X: 299 Y: 426 where there is an outpost, which you will be one of the first to liberate. Almost next to it is the helicopter we need. We move on it to coordinates X: 272.4 Y: 443.7 , where from the highest point we jump using a suit- wing (it is important to hold down the left stick and, without releasing it, point it down, for the desired flight path), towards the large lake that is located in the south ( X: 261 Y: 398 ). In this way, we will achieve the 5000 meters of flight we need, returning to the outpost using fast movement. Watch: https://youtu.be/wBa3TgGelas

There will be about eight such visits in total.

A simple way to boost:

We buy a helipad (300k) from the Gayles’ house, take off to the maximum height and jump. Repeat as many times as necessary. Profit

Before completing the “Keys to the North” story chapter, I do not recommend boosting this trophy, because... According to the plot, we have to fly a lot.

Well, by and large, you don’t have to get out of the spin, but just fly up until it starts beeping and then jump out and turn on the wing suit

It is better to descend using a wing suit after capturing the tower. The game has 17 towers and this will be enough, besides, in the plot you will have to fly. By the end of the game, the trophy will drop and there will be no need to boost anything!

I lost the trophy due to a bug in the game. He climbed some mountain, jumped, but did not have time to spread his wings, and eventually died. Then, upon resumption, it turned out to be already flying from a much higher mountain, and the point was 1500 meters away. Flew without a parachute - died. And again I found myself flying from the same mountain, to the same point. The dying meters are preserved.

You don't have to buy a wing suit, but take it near Longinus's tent when you return from the Himalayas after this madman's first mission. He will be lying on a bench not far from the exit of the tent.

I stupidly started up at the very first outpost, took a helicopter, climbed as high as the helicopter would allow, jumped off and flew, flew 500 meters in one jump, and so knocked it out in about 10 minutes.

For those who don’t want to worry about finding great heights. In the Shangri-La thangka, at some level there are air currents that enable you to fly indefinitely. The funny thing is that it counts as flying on a wing suit. Fly around the rocks in the air for 5-10 minutes and land somewhere and the trophy will fall out. I got the trophy in Shangri-La.
