How to unlock the Rewriting History achievement in Far Cry 4 - Definitive Guide

You'll get this thru normal gameplay, but a way I boosted was to:

(a) buy maps to show the locations of the posters
(b) use the Recurve Bow with Fire Arrows to reach some posters that were in hard to reach spots (if you can't get to them, just set them on fire!)'
(c) hop in a buzzer heli and hop around the map finding them and destroying them

Hope that helps!

Didn't unlock until the 34th poster for me, for some reason. All the other cumulative achievements have popped when they should.

You can buy a map for those and it is 150 around the map so its an easy trophie. If you dont see the poster at the spot you can mark it on world map so the mark in game will show you his spot, if the poster is so high for cn_S it, you will need to burn/destroy it and it count for trophie. I've read somewhere than remove all posters remove randoms enemys so be careful if you dont have the platinium.

In order to meet the requirements to earn this trophy you will need to remove 30 out of the 150 posters in the game, so you do not need to remove every single poster. Posters are located with an icon located on the map from the menu, or on your mini map (bottom right of the screen) where you're near one. These poster locations, however, will only be unlocked on the map if you purchase any of the "Items" maps. these are purchased from trading posts across Kyrat. They're found in the "Maps" section of the Buy & Customize menu. You can buy 4 maps from traders, they are:

  • South Kyrat Items
  • Mid-Kyrat Items
  • North Kyrat Items
  • North-East Kyrats Items

Each map will unlock all of the poster locations in that region. Each poster also looks about the same, some have different pictures but they're the same size. Posters are usually found on building walls. Most of these posters can be ripped simply by pressing when you're near a poster. Some of these posters, however, will be out of reach. When a poster is out of reach, you must burn it down with a Molotov or fire arrow. Explosives such as an RPG or the Grenade launcher will not destroy the poster.

(The image above shows a propaganda poster).

The best method that we found, is to mark the poster icon on the mini map. You'll have to purchase the maps for them of course. You can highlight the poster from the map on the menu. When you highlight it, you'll actually see the actual location of the poster that you've highlighted. Another way to spot posters is with the "Gadget Training" Skill. With this skill, you can mark collectibles if you tag them with your camera (). When you have removed your 30th poster, the trophy will unlock. You can check your collectibles progress by going to the "Progress" section of the menu.

There are 150 posters in the game; to achieve this you only need to tear off 30.

The search will be greatly simplified by a map indicating posters, which can be bought in the store. On the map they will be displayed with a blue square symbol.

I bring to your attention a video with collecting the required number of posters, if you have any difficulties:

Often the cry hangs high and cannot be torn down. We get it out with fire (Molotov cocktail, flaming arrow, flamethrower).

You don't have to look for them specifically. There are almost every outpost, somewhere there are even two. It also appears in almost every mission. So you don’t have to waste time on them on purpose. It is also very convenient to remove them from a grenade launcher pistol without leaving the car or gyracopter.

There are 150 propaganda posters in the game.

They hang on the walls of houses, buildings and structures. They are marked with a blue square on the map.

You can buy a map with the Kyrat items on it (south, center, north and northeast), so this won't be a problem at all.

This way, all items for all collecting trophies will be indicated on the map.
