Caution:

Ok so if you play COOP as Hurk and buy the Guns for Hire Rebel Upgrades you will not get the achievement. Now I was lucky and did not buy them all due to lack of funds. So what I did was wait until I was at Karma 4 and bought the Guns for hire Upgrade #2 back in my own single player game for K150,000 and it unlocked. Hope that helps!

This is a companion to the other guide, but don't attempt this if you're the joining player in a co-op game. My friend was the host and got it accidentally, so I tried the same and even though I met the requirements, it wouldn't pop for me.

I went back into my own game, bought the next upgrade and it popped straight away, so just something to be careful about, especially as the the upgrades get quite pricey as they go on.

Note: Do not kill civilians or golden path! This will lower your karma, and if you keep doing it then it's going to be much harder for you to get the levels required.

Karma can be earned in many ways, but it can also be lost. To earn karma, you can do any of the following:

  • Karmic Events - These randomly show up as you are driving along from time to time, and are marked with a blue diamond shape. They can be anything from assisting golden path to kill enemies, rescuing hostages, or killing a courier. You can choose to ignore these, and it will have no effect on your karma.
  • Mani Wheels - These are a collectible in the game, marked by a symbol. These are very good at increasing your karma level, as all you have to do is spin the wheel. There are 40 of them total in the game, and you can spin them once.
  • Killing animals without using bullets - If you kill an animal with a knife, bow, crossbow or a throwing knife then you will get good karma for it. You will also get double the amount of skin from the animal.
  • Collectible Rewards - Once you reach a milestone with the collectibles (5 Propaganda Posters for example), you get given a reward. Sometimes it is a karma bonus reward, which will give you lots of karma. You will get these rewards as you are going for the collectibles.

The maximum karma level you can get to is level 8, and you need to get to level 2 for this trophy. For the "Non-Stop" skill, you need to get to level 4. Once you get pretty much everything in the game done you will be around level 6. You can also buy the "Karma Boosts" level skill which will increase the amount of karma you earn. This is however not required, as we got to level 6 without this skill. For this trophy, you simply need to buy a "Guns For Hire" upgrade. To do this go to any trading post, and then look at the "Items" tab. You will notice upgrades you can buy for "Guns For Hire". On the second row there is one that costs 50,000R. Simply buy this as it is the cheapest one, then the trophy will unlock.

Karma increases when you spin prayer wheels or when you save rebels from enemies attacking them, as well as when you help civilians and make clean kills of animals (with guns or throwing objects (at the same time you get 2 instead of 1 skin)). Sometimes a karmic event occurs in the open world (kill Lieutenant Ming, save a hostage, etc.), completing which will increase your karma.

Then, in a store or from a merchant, buy an upgrade for mercenaries and a trophy in your pocket. Then mercenaries can be called to help, for example, when storming a fortress, in order to equalize your chances with the enemy.

Attention, killing civilians and rebels decreases your karmas (-50). Therefore, you shouldn't do this.

First, let's talk about karma in the game. The purple color scale increases (you can see in the menu) when you do good deeds, such as helping random rebels in skirmishes with soldiers, completing tasks from civilians and killing animals using melee attacks, throwing knives or a bow. Karma drops when you kill civilians and mercenaries ( not a soldier).Karma is most dramatically raised by touching the prayer drums, by as much as 250 units, while for the achievement you need to collect 2200 units of karma. On the map, these drums are marked with a blue symbol that looks like a small rolling pin. So that all the drums are displayed on the map at once specific territory, buy a map in the store with the location of collective items.
Moreover, you still have to find at least 10 of these drums to achieve Right Tributes / Gift to the Gods.
After you have earned level 2 karma (you can see the current level in “progress”), go to the store with 75,000 rupees in your hands. After purchasing upgrade #1 for the rebels, the achievement will immediately open.
