How to unlock the No One Left Behind achievement in Far Cry 4 - Definitive Guide

These missions are found in various locations (blue handcuffs icon).

These missions usually involve saving 4 hostages as shown by the green diamonds on the screen. The best way to save all of them is to use a suppressed sniper rifle from a distance to avoid detection

If you save all 4 each time you can earn the achievement in 4 missions.

I suppose this doesn't count Sabal's hostages for the story mission, right?

To earn this trophy, you must rescue a total of 15 hostages in Hostage Rescue quests. Hostage rescue activities can be found with an icon on your map from the menu. They are unlocked by liberating Outposts, Fortresses, and Bell Towers so you'll have to liberate a fair amount of things in order to unlock this activity. Unlike most of the side quest/activities trophies, this one in particular does not require you to complete the quest, but to rescue the hostages in the progress. Each quest has a total of 4 hostages that can be rescued, so you'll have to complete at least 4 Hostage Rescue quests. After you accept the quest, travel to your destination and tag the enemies (and the hostages) in the area with your camera (). The best chance that you have to rescue every hostage, is by not being detected, as getting detected will result in the enemies killing off the hostages. Stealth kill enemies, distract them by throwing rocks with , use silent weapons like bows and silenced weapons. After you've killed every enemy in the area, you'll complete the quest and however many hostages are still alive will count towards your total hostages rescued. Unfortunately, you cannot keep track of how many hostages you have rescued, this is why it's recommended to save every hostage (4) during each hostage rescue quest. Upon rescuing your 15th hostage, the trophy will unlock.

As you progress through the game and explore the world, you will have the opportunity to complete a side quest to rescue hostages. It is displayed on the map with a symbol similar to tied hands. When rescuing hostages, it is important to act silently, because if you are noticed, the military begins to get rid of the hostages. Usually you rescue 4 hostages per run, so you can count how many tasks you need to complete to get the trophy. I knocked out the trophy by the time I liberated 5 outposts.

There is no need to bother getting this trophy at all. Get it anyway. And it’s not just about special tasks for their salvation. The main thing is not to drive past the icons signaling the safety of prisoners.

From time to time you may come across a situation where a lone guard is escorting a lone hostage. One shot - and +1 hostage is freed! The main thing is not to forget to untie it!
