How to unlock the Trigger-Man achievement in Far Cry 4 - Definitive Guide

This achievement is pretty self explanatory - these types of missions show up at liberated outposts; the quickest way to get to them is to look at your map and fast travel to an outpost that has one of these mission types.

Note that you CAN mix and match Assassination missions and Eye for an Eye missions to get the achievement. I completed 2 Eye for an Eye and 1 Assassination mission and the achievement popped.

To earn this trophy, you must complete any 3 Assassination quests. There are two different types of Assassination quests, and 15 in total:

- Assassination (7)
For this activity you will need to assassinate the target, and remove their Dogtags:

  • You must kill the target without being seen. There are a fair amount of enemies when doing this task, almost like liberating an outpost. Just use your camera with to find the target. He will be highlighted yellow rather than orange, when he's tagged. Be sure to take out the other enemies before the actual target to make the next task easier. After you have killed the target, you'll have to search the target's body for remove his dogtags. Be sure to stealth kill every enemy in the area before you loot the corpse, or you could fail if you're spotted. After you've collected the dogtags, you'll have to leave the area with the blue circle on your mini map to complete this activity.

- Eye for an Eye (8)
For this activity you must kill the target(s) with the required weapon, and take a picture of the body:

  • You will have to use a certain weapon that's on your destination. Travel to the blue inner circle after gearing up, and use your camera with to find the target(s). This is much easier than Assassination, as you can be detected. The only downside is that you MUST kill the target/s with the required weapon, so be sure to find your target(s). Pull out your camera with to snap a picture of your dead target. You can take a picture with (PS3) (PS4). Upon taking a picture, you'll complete this activity.

These activities unlock by liberating Outposts, Fortresses, and Bell Towers so you'll have to liberate a fair amount of things in order to unlock these activities. Complete any of these activities in any order that you wish, 3 times to unlock this trophy. We recommend completing Eye for an Eye over Assassination as it's much easier.

As you progress through the game and explore the world, you will have the opportunity to complete side missions "Elimination" and "Eye for an Eye" (essentially contract killings ), which is given out by local residents (I received the trophy at the moment when 5 outposts were liberated.). On the map, these missions are displayed with almost identical “sight/target” symbols (something similar on the trophy picture). After completing the third such task, the trophy will drop. In these tasks you need to destroy the target (the leader) without making a fuss (“elimination”) or kill the victim using a certain weapon, and then take a photo of the corpse on camera as evidence (“an eye for an eye”). Current statistics on completion can be viewed in the menu in section "progress - tasks and actions"
