How to unlock the Tusker achievement in Far Cry 4 - Definitive Guide

There is a permanent elephant spawn available at Shanath Breeders (X: 379.7, Y: 573.8) Outpost.

The first step to unlocking this achievement is getting the "Elephant Rider" skill unlocked from the Skills menu.

Now, you will want to go to the Shanath Breeders (X: 379.7, Y: 573.8) Outpost. If it is your first time there, you'll notice a caged elephant in the middle of the outpost. Go inside, and ride the elephant by pressing cn_X. Use cn_LS & cn_RS to break out of the cage and begin to kill enemies using the elephant attacks and NOT your gun. After your elephant dies, clear the base for the first time, and you will capture the outpost.

If the outpost is captured, go to the flag icon on your map while inside to trigger the "Outpost Master" quest. This will start a quest, repopulate the outpost with enemies, and spawn you on the outside. Repeat the same process as listed above. Go inside, ride the elephant, kill people & replay the event until the achievement unlocks! It should take between 3-4 times before it unlocks.

Worked perfectly. I had most of the kills already but this was the perfect way to finish them off.

Won't unlock for me. I definitely got the 30 kills because the Uplay action popped for me, but not the achievement.

Brilliant. Works after clearing out the ouposts and fortresse as well, just replay the outpost.

manunited, I had that happen to me as well, just last night. Unfortunately, it looks like the only way to fix it is to wipe all of your save data and do it again. Luckily, the skill is open from the start and you can unlock it super fast by doing the outpost reset thing. I see that you got it though, but if anyone else has any issues, this is probably the best solution, as long as your achievement doesn't say "done" in the tracker... if so, just wait it out.

Acquire the Elephant Rider skill for 2 points.

An easy spot to get this is the KYRA TEA WEIGH STATION at X: 345 Y: 378. If you already completed the outpost, you can replay it as often as you like with OUTPOST MASTER.

Once you start the Outpost go left and down to the street. An elephant will always stand there. Ride him into the outpost and take out all enemies including the reinforcement team that is coming. After 3-4 attempts you should get the 30 enemy kills.

The easiest place i got this achievement was at the Kyra Tea Terraces. After you have unlocked the outpost master and elephant rider skill, start up the outpost rerun and as the mission begins, slip down the embankment to your right and there is an elephant for you right there. Jump on her and ride her through. I restarted this outpost and got the achievement in 2 cracks. It is by far the eaisest way to get the achievement.

Good guide, one thing to add is Kyra Tea Terrace is X: 393 Y: 328 for quick reference. Also assuming you allow the alarm to be triggered the most kills you can get in one go is 13, it was really fast to get the achievement though.

This is pretty easy to obtain but can take a bit of time. First off you need to purchase the Elephant Rider Perk from The Elephant side of the Skills Tree.

You'll find Elephants early on around the outside of outposts near Banapur Village. Simply walk up to one and press cn_X then proceed to walk into the outpost and begin using cn_LS and cn_RS to take out enemies, allow the alarm to be raised and you'll get around another 7 more enemies come as reinforcements. This should take maybe 4 or 5 outposts but they only count when you see the Elephant Kill flash up on your screen.

This is a fairly straight forward trophy. Early on in the game you can unlock the "Elephant Rider" skill and once unlocked you can mount any elephant you approach by pressing cn_S once you have your elephant simply attack enemy troops using the cn_LS button and you should get the ""Elephant kill" bonus.

I would suggest just using any elephant you find and this trophy should unlock naturally with very little effort. You fill find they become a bit of a bullet sponge and don't fair well against frequent car rams so you might find your elephants dying on you as you go.

Here is a video of me unlocking it with my final few kills.

Shanath Breeders (X: 379.7, Y: 573.8) Outpost -- there is an elephant, do Outpost Master if you've already cleared the area

First things first, you need the "Elephant Rider" skill. This is available from the get go and it costs 2 skill points. You might get this just by playing the story, as there are multiple chances to ride an elephant in story missions. If not, you can farm it at the "Shanath Breeders" Outpost (X:380 Y:568). There is an elephant in a pen at this outpost, and you can simply run straight to the pen and get on him by pressing . Now just ride it around the outpost and knock into enemies. The elephant will one hit kill everything. When he cars turn up, you can press and the elephant will flip the car and everybody in it will die. There's about 10-15 enemies in this outpost, so it will not take long. Once you have cleared it, simply go to the "Outpost Master" mission found within the Outpost to replay it. Keep doing this until the trophy unlocks. For a visual walkthrough, refer to the video below.

I received this trophy here X: 393.9 - Y: 330.5 by passing and restarting the mission "return to the outpost" (capable of capture). The elephant is at the bottom right)

Just unlock the skill of riding an elephant. And we clear the outposts on it. I did it at the very beginning of the game.

The trophy can be easily obtained without resorting to a boost, but simply by completing one of Herk’s additional missions in northern Kyrat. An elephant ride and tons of enemies (more than 30) are included.

Easy to complete at the Shanata Breeders outpost. We grab the elephant and kill everyone, and then restart through Return to the outpost. It is important that after the murder it says “Murder by Elephant”. Also, when reinforcements arrive, wait until they get out of the car; turning it over with a ram does not always count.

Open the skill “Elephant Rider”. We find an elephant, climb onto it and kill enemies, either by ramming them or with the trunk.

The trophy is cumulative, there is no need to make 30 kilos at a time.

Video to help.

I would like to add that only kills with the inscription “Kill by an elephant” count towards the trophy. You can simply hit, for example, a car with enemies to kill them, but they will not count. It is better to kill on foot. Happy New Year everyone.

It was convenient for me to storm outposts with an elephant.

First, we carefully turn off the alarm, and then, like on a tank (elephant), we drive in and take out all the opponents.

When we are on an elephant, the damage goes to the elephant, not the rider. As long as Kaslon is alive, we don’t care.

To destroy an elephant, the enemy needs to try very hard. All outposts, except the northern ones, are drilled by elephants without any problems. In the north, there are many heavy soldiers. They're not that fun.
