How to unlock the Well Read achievement in Far Cry 4 - Definitive Guide

This is maybe the more easy achievo you'll find here: you just have to read 10 notes during the main campaing.
Notes are spread all over the map, very easy to find, because they flash when you approach.
The very first is in the prologue, as soon you take control for the first time. Explore the house, turning right and you'll find your first note.
Get close enough to enable cn_X button and keep pressed.
Repeat ten times and you'll get it... I've done in 20 minutes playing normally.

++ Note from MikeBugslayer: ++
you cannot read the same note 10 times, you'll have to find 10 different notes.

I'm clicking X repeatedly on the note outside of Ghale homestead and it's not working

@Mrattty that's strange... but Notes are spread all over the map... you'll easily find others...

Just wanted to note that this achievement appears pretty glitchy, I read around 30 notes and couldn't get it to pop, was considering restarting the game, but I just kept playing and eventually it did pop after god knows how many notes.

You need to read papers around, on walls, desks, floors, whatever. Come close to those for seeing if they are "flashy". It was my first trophie in the game by just playing.

Is there locations for the notes?

No need. They are scattered throughtout the game, explaing all sorts of things. So you'll run into them without even pretty easy. Like, almost every radio tower has one in the entrance. Every room you enter after conquering the outpost as well.
So don't worry, you'll get it w/o even trying. wink

Notes are the only collectibles that aren't marked on the map but you can find them all over the place. Most of them are in buildings, some are pinned to walls outside buildings. There are loads in the game, so reading 10 is very easy. Once you see a shining piece of paper, simply go up to it and hold to read it. A small text screen will come up, that you can quit out of straight away by pressing . Read 10 of these notes and the trophy will unlock.

It is not known how many of these notes there are in total, but there are a lot (the exact number is not indicated in the menu and statistics). In the game, when you get closer to a note (sheet of paper), you can read it with the button .But we are not talking about notes from the diary of the protagonist’s father (Mohan Gale), which are displayed on the map with the symbol of a small blue book, and statistics for which can be found on the right in the “collection” item.

Statistics on the pieces of paper with notes that interest us can be found in the “progress” section by scrolling to the very bottom (we look for “records read”).

To achieve this, you just need to find and read 10 notes. Without straining myself, I found the required number at the beginning of the game, completing one story mission, three side quests, searching for 20 minutes for all sorts of collecting items and liberating only 3 outposts. You often come across these notes everywhere.

You often come across them everywhere, in radio towers, caves, rooms where the enemy was located.
