How to unlock the ARCADE Enthusiast achievement in Far Cry 5 - Definitive Guide

-Go to Arcade mode via the game's main menu or in-game menu
-Open Arcade
-Play Solo & Co-Op
-cn_X to Filter
-Category --> Featured
-cn_A to Search

You can choose any of the featured maps/modes (currently at the game's launch there are 8, all created by Ubisoft). As the achievement description states, you do have to successfully complete the map, so failure doesn't count. Playing the same map multiple times DOES count toward this achievement. Unfortunately, according to multiple comments below, this is no longer the case and you must play 10 different maps for the achievement.

Update 8/8/21 - As several comments have mentioned, Memoir of Sanity seems to be the best map for this achievement currently.

The Journey maps seems to be the easiest, since they're basically getting from point A to point B, and one of them (Upside Down) doesn't even have any enemies. The XP you get for those is very low compared to the others that involve killing a lot of enemies, however.

Been doing the Upside Down Journey, and noticed you get rewarded more XP the longer it takes to complete. After ~20mins, I was levelling up about 2 levels each time, instead of the low XP gain if you do speed runs! Useful for

I believe they made an update to change how this works. I've done "The Lost Tomb, Journey" almost 10 times now. It's counted once.

Just going through this now and using a featured journey map called 'Memoir of Sanity'

Having completed the map (which takes approx 1 minute), and then choosing to replay after the XP has been added.... the achievement tracker is updating following each complete.

Upside down map mentioned in earlier posts doesn't seem to be there anymore.

EDIT - Now confirmed unlocked using above info.

I couldn't find the Upside Down map anymore either. They must cycle through the featured maps or something. Memoir of Sanity worked really well for me as well.

Could be Xbox being Xbox, I had issues the other day. Either wait and see after a few days/hours or re-check and make sure that you are searching/playing a featured map

This is what I did:
>Choose “Solo & Co-Op”
>Choose “Browse Solo & Co-Op Maps”
>Change category to “Featured” and sort by “A-Z”
>Look for a map called “Memoir of Sanity“ and play it 10x over.
Worked like a charm!

“THE LOOPER PART 2” is the way to go, it takes 1:30 once you know it. Filter search by Journey/Featured rather than searching by name.

As of September 10, 2020, the game wouldn't allow me to play the same level 10 times to unlock the achievement. I had to play 10 different levels, which was a little more time consuming but actually pretty fun.

+1 for Memoir of Sanity - takes about a minute to run through and as long as you keep moving, the enemies can't really hurt you.

This still works.
After searching use the second map and play through.
After you've run through it once it shouldn't take more than a minute to complete each subsequent play through.
FYI, if you're stuck at the beginning, look up and climb out.

Make sure you use the 2nd Map that shows up when you search, as TA user ExactBananas has suggested above.

For some reason the 1st map that shows up doesn't count towards progression. So use that 2nd one.

I finished this with Memory of Sanity. I needed 4 runs to finish the achievement, you can just hit restart after you finish each run. You don't get much progression but you can finish the level in about 1 minute once you know the route. If you still need levels for the level 20 achievement other featured maps can get a full level for completion.

Be careful about searching for recommended maps by name. Featured maps don't stay "featured" forever. They are rotated after some time. The arcade search menu is really confusing because if you set the filter to "featured" and then search a map by name it gives you a list of games that says "featured" on top BUT THOSE MAPS AREN'T REALLY FEATURED! I learned this the hard way.

Make sure you click on "Featured" filter so that it gives you a real list of featured games. Forget about reading comments above where people say which maps are best to play. Those maps are not featured anymore. Just find a new map, like outpost with sniping. Those are usually short.

I found this was a pain in the ass with random featured maps as they could be really long, or hard, or unclear. For me it was easiest/fastest unlocked by only playing outposts. Destroy alarms, kill everyone.

Browse> Mode Outpost> Category Featured> A to search. Play the 10 top rated and you're done.

By MasterCheeks117 on 19 Aug 2022 05:06
Tyl3r Da Thug came in clutch as hell with that recommendation. Only thing I would clarify is that the map is called very specifically The Abandoned Park but for whatever reason I could not find it when I searched the name. But filter for Featured/Top Rated and it was on the first page for me every time. Play it, when finished just replay, rinse, repeat!

EDIT: I am doing this again on a different account in case someone looks at my profile and sees that I unlocked this at launch on my main. Much simpler now!

arcade >
play solo & co-op >
press X to filter >
category > switch to featured

select "Upside down - JOURNEY" - as of writing this guide it can be found in middle of the bottom row

there is no enemies to kill, all you have to do is run through the levels, very easy and should be completable in less than a minute.

rinse and repeat another 9 times and the achievement is yours.

Choose Arcade from start screen (Use a poster, game cabinet or select button, bumper to "online" and choose arcade during the campaign, your game will automatically save)

Open Arcade

Play Solo & Co-Op

Filter with "X"

Set category to featured, push "A"

The best choice in my opinion is "The Drift"
Very few enemies surrounded by explosive drums
Jump, Grapple, Kill, Run, Slide, Kill, Drive ATV off cliff the finish
2 minutes or less.

No maze, no dead goats.

Disregard that. There is now a fan map that appears on the left. Use the 5 star Ubi one on the right.

To receive credit for this trophy do the following:

>Enter Arcade Mode
>Choose “Solo & Co-Op”
>Choose “Browse Solo & Co-Op Maps”
>Change category to “Featured” and sort by “A-Z”
>Look for a map called “Memoir of Sanity” and play it 10x over. Just choose “replay map” after completion.

This map takes a few mins to complete each time and you can simply ignore the enemies which are present in one room only.

Many thanks to the TA community for this solution.

On the Arcade menu, select 'Play Solo & Co-Op' and then , filter maps by featured and complete any of the maps displayed but fortuantely they change regularly. It should only take around 30-45 minutes and you will unlock the trophy after your 10th completion. Back out to the Arcade menu after each completion, as selecting Replay won't count.

Alternatively you can view the current featured map list here (need to be logged in) https://far-cry-arcade.ubi.com/en-gb...ed/solo-coop/1

I used multiplayer lobbies to get this trophy. There usually is a game you can join, in which people hunt the trophy. If there is not, you can try creating your own.

From the main menu, select "Arcade" then "Play Solo & Co-op." From here, press and filter the following:

  • Game Mode: Journey
  • Category: Featured

Now press to search. It’s now up to you to play, win and complete ten featured maps. The best and fastest map to play is "Upside Down." You can replay this map ten times and once you’ve learned the route, it should take you roughly 1:30 to complete.

It's simple: single and co-op filter game (category-best), only 8 cards, but repetitions count.

For fast farming, I advise you to choose the map "The Drift". And we just repeat it in a circle. Completed in just 2 minutes. And it only takes 20 minutes and the trophy is yours.

The map with a quick capture of an outpost is called Derelict. As already mentioned, there are only 12 enemies and if the alarm is raised, another 6 are added. It is quick and easy. Can be repeated until you get the trophy.

As correctly stated above, a map with an outpost is ideal.
Let's go: one. and jointly game - show cards of solo and cooperative games - click (filter) - in the filter set "category-best; sorting-by rating".
On the first page you will see a map of Derelict. We go through the required number of times.

The trophy is terribly stupid. Don't look for Kata named Derelict by name!!!. You definitely need to go to the map browser, select Outpost, Featured, Top rated in the filter and select only from this list. Due to poor explanation of the trophy I had to play it 20 times.

We wrote above about The Drift map, the map is really fast and simple, but I didn’t have it in the best category. Don’t step on the same rake that I stepped on, I played the game on The Drift 10 map and they didn’t give me a trophy. Just go into single and co-op play, click and select the “best” category in the filter, then look for the simplest one from those proposed (by the way, this is not necessarily evacuation, because during evacuation it is sometimes impossible to catch anyone’s eye). I found an outpost capture with 12 enemies. It’s easy to do with a sniper rifle, even if they call for reinforcements, it’s +6 enemies. As a result, in 40 minutes I received .

The tip is valid as of 06/18/2023.
Open the "Arcade" mode, go to "Single and co-op play", then "Show single and co-op cards". Then we select:

Game mode - Single and co-op
Category - Best
Sorting - A-Z
We search for a game by the name of the card - “Derelict”

Open the very last page and select the latest card. If you did everything correctly, then this card should be from Ubisoft (to check this, select the card and click; author and original author - "UBISOFT") and its publication date should be 04/06/2018. There you will need to clear the outpost from enemies using a sniper rifle. And do this 10 times. The trophy is yours.

In the single and co-op game menu, click filter (category-best). We select the map The Drift and replay it 10 times. This is the shortest card. So it won't take much time.
