This is how you can get lots of penance and get the Heavenly Father Trophy.
You can get about 6000 to 8000 Penance per run.
Select a mind level that you are comfortable with.
First head to the Cull the Herd Trial.
Finish it, try to kill some golden rats at the end
and sell all the unwanted powers
then head to the Act of Faith Trial
once you are done, head to the save house nearby
purchase what you are missing and save and quit.
Rinse and Repeat
You will soon get the Trophy.
