Not too far into the game you will unlock the ability to upgrade Facilities in Prosperity (your home base) using Ethanol. Upgrade Expeditions to Level 1 for 75 Ethanol. Talk to the Pilot, Roger Cadoret, to start the expedition H.M.S. MacCoubrey. Finish expedition and escape on the helicopter. Pretty simple

Nowhere do I say it is. You can report achievement flags elsewhere solutions have nothing to do with the flag system

There's a few steps to get this, but if you want to get this quickly like I did, follow these steps.
As soon as you've done prologue, you have free reign to go anywhere. Leave the homebase and head north to an outpost called broken forge. In the fog it's got a little pink tinge.
Take over the outpost and be rewarded with the ethanol you need. Once you have this head back to the home base. You can fast travel by using the map and selecting
whilst over the base.
When you're at the home base make sure you use the ethanol on the helicopter at the back of the the base. This will be called expeditions in the sign outside.
Now finally talk to the pilot as soon as you've unlocked this and they'll give you an expedition mission. Go into your journal and select this mission. The actual mission will only take 5-10 minutes.
Then when you're heading home it should pop.
