Its LB on my game and not RB. Might be my settings

as FoolsAndKings pointed out, it IS LB not, RB. Also make sure you're not in your base at the time as OP point out.
For me I had a limit on how many I could have in my inv at once so I set a nearby plant on fire using the torch repeatedly, used the medkit with Y after burning myself. Took maybe 60 seconds or so.

To unlock the How's it Look Doc? trophy in Far Cry New Dawn, you will need to craft 10 medkits. Medkits require three ingredients:
- Meat: Loot from dead animals.
- Bougainvillea: A blue plant that can be found near lakes and rivers.
- Cistanche: A yellow Plant commonly found near roads.
