Easiest way to get this achievement is to unlock an animal map in cartography and then find the elite animal on the map and blow it up with a helicopter. It took one shot and the achievement is unlocked. However this will damage the animals skin and meat. If you kill the bison this will also unlock a in-game challenge and you will get a perk.
