Here's a list of all the animals you need. Some of these have challenges associated with it, but not all of them. Note that a bit later in the game you can purchase maps to find the location of all the animals 01 - 20 on the list below in Hope County. The animals in the expeditions are hard to miss.

For the monstrous animals, I recommend relogging if you can't find them. I had problems to find the monstrous Cougar. After looking for him for 5 minutes I relogged. One minute after I looked around I was hearing a fight with a cougar - went to it and sure enough there he was.

In general, the monstrous animals get into fights a lot so if you are near his spawn zone and you hear fighting nearby then you got a pretty good chance that you will find highwaymen fighting your prize already.

Also: Monstrous animals are epic enemies so don't take them on until you have a few epic weapons otherwise it will take a while to take them down.

Be sure to check the hunting challenges in the menu if you’re unsure wgat you’re missing. Also, the achievement seems to be glitched. Had to collect the shark skin 3 times before it popped.

Just a tip, you do need to finish the expedition to collect the skin. I collected a couple of skins and then quit the expedition, even though my progress bar moved on the achievement, once I collected more skins it didn't move so had to go back and collect them again lol

Found a simple way to keep track of which skins you have.... in the inventory tab there is a slot for each kind of skin you can get. Just don't trade them until you have all the needed skins. Then you can tell at a glance what you have and what you still need.

I'm not really sure what to tell you about the bear Goggs25.... I fast traveled to New Eden, walked the 265m north to where on the map it was supposed to be... had to go a bit further than that but I found the bear pretty quickly once I got in the area.

Thank you belgianplayer1, I was able to find hares there! Here is the map they posted, https://i.imgur.com/4XfxKk0.jpg. I found a couple near the water where the player marker is. Use Timber, he will automatically tag animals and you can order him to attack them. Hares are quick buggers, just have Timber hunt one down.

The Hare is on the ISS Crash Site Expedition but as stated above I wouldn't call it "In The Woods"!
One I found was in valley in middle of map, in a bush near water under the tall overhanging cliff with a tree on top of it!
Take Timber & you should find one easily as long as its daytime coz I dont think they spawn at night!
P.S You can also get surviving 30 metre fall with Leap of Faith from top of that cliff!

The most confusing thing about the tracker is the fact that I have been at a % that is not possible with a 25 denominator, but every kill I get goes up 4% it seems. (e.g. I was at 62% then 66% whereas I had 16/25 then 17/25 and should have gone from 64% to 68%)

I noticed that bringing Timber along helps a lot with hunting as he automatically marks all nearby animals and he's quite at good at chasing and killing them too, I used him to kill a hare.

In case anyone was wondering - you can leave an expedition after getting a skin only if it is your last one(s). They won't count if you leave and have to get any more but if it's the last one you'll still get the achievement and can leave.

Both of those observations seem to correlate with 26 skins, and not 25 skins.
Since the game also has "Damaged Skin" as a skin, this might imply that you also need to burn an animal to death and skin it for the 100% completion on this.

I'm stuck at 95%, and I have completed all of the hunting challenges (multiple kills for all of them). I wasn't sure if I had encountered a skunk, so I went back to Alcatraz and got a shark for good measure before encountering a skunk. Chievo still didn't pop, though I died before completing the expedition, but that shouldn't have mattered if it was my last one. I know I got a hare after completing the game as I remember how hard they were to find. Not sure what else to do.

I wasted about 2 hours looking for cattle at the above suggested area (NE of Pantry ). There are 3 farms in the general vicinity but all I found anywhere in the area there was bull

@Tannersarms I'm also stuck at 95%. From the beginning of the game I have noted down every type of animal I killed and I believe I have had every type by now (25 in total). The only animal challenges I have left in the challenges list are the Duck Season and the Eagle Season challenges. Is there another way to find out which type is missing without killing animals of each type all over again?

Edit: Now one day later I killed a shark in the HMS MacCoubrey expedition again and the achievement popped up. I am really sure I killed two sharks in that same expedition yesterday. Not sure what the difference is between yesterday and today, only that I restarted the game... But well, I am happy again.

I was stuck at 95% and correctly assumed it was cattle. I searched the farm for a while to no avail, fast travelling far away and back. I also checked the lighthouse in the H.M.S. MacCoubrey expedition and found bulls and sheep but no cattle. What eventually got me the achievement was entering the expedition and running to the lighthouse and if i didn't see cattle abandoning and returning. It took me like 5 attempts before i found it. It seems the animal spawns near the lighthouse are random, although that could have been because i was already at the third difficulty.

Last I needed was the cattle, as I skinned the cattle in the expedition the achievement popped. So you may not need to finish an expedition for skins to count.

Cattle and Shark are the only skins I got from an Expedition. Thumbs up anyway for where to find Cattle - and if you save those skins for last you can quit the Expedition after the achievement unlocks.

Near the lighthouse, I found snakes, goats, sheep, skunks, wolverine, & sharks do by the ship. Not sure why people are saying Cattle, because that would imply Cow, & I definitely didn't see any Cow's! I've killed a big Cow in the main game, I'm hoping that counts...

For those looking for the Hare, go West of the Chop Shop and South of the Broken Forge. You will find a location called Dick's Hole. Fast Travel here and go 150m North West...
You should find a number of Hares here.

I've just got it with the shark. That's weird because i've already kill one of them, checked the tracker and almost sure the tracker had progressing, so at the end if you haven't the achievement after collecting all skin, go to the first expedition and collect another shark's skin. @Uncle Cousin : if the cattle didn't spawn, reset the checkpoint and turn around the lighthouse, and you will see them spawning on the road.

With the exception of the shark, I found all of the animals in the main game world, not needing to find them in Expeditions. There's a lake north of Prosperity that has a spot to hunt ducks, when I went there, it spawned hares, moose and skunks before actually spawning any ducks (ducks do not count toward the achievement). There's a small farm a little northeast of The Pantry outpost that spawns bulls and cattle.

Hell, I bet if I looked around, there might even be a shark spawn on the main map, but it was much easier to find them at Alcatraz.

Cattle and shark were the last skins for me. I got them on their respective spots mentioned in the expeditions. My achievement popped as soon as I dove in and got the shark skin. I DID NOT finish the expedition that I got the shark skin on, just to clear that up. I've been at this for two days maybe three. I wrote down the list from the solutions here and crossed them off and also used Power PX's video guide, which was a lot of help. I also caught some fish but I'm not sure if that added to anything. I just love the fishing in this game.
