Although this achievement is straightforward, this video provides a quick overview of what you'll need to do to unlock it. The short version:
1) You need 1 Yucca and 1 Black Powder to craft a smoke grenade (so you'll need 3 of each to craft 3 smoke grenades).
2) Once you have the crafting items, open your weapons wheel with
, navigate up/down to smoke grenades using 
, hold 
to craft your items. You can also craft them on a workbench, found under "Combat Supplies."3) Use them by hitting
when they're your selected throwable.4) Once you've thrown 3 the achievement is yours!

Anyone know why on the actual game the achievement is titled poof and on ta its titled bamf?

To unlock the Poof! trophy in Far Cry New Dawn, you must simply use 3 smoke grenades.
You will need the following items to craft a smoke grenade in Far Cry New Dawn:
Yukka: Plant commonly found in forests.
Black Powder: Looting dead bodies and containers. Also from trading animal skins and fish.
One of each item is required to craft a smoke grenade, so three of each in total to craft the three needed for the Poof! trophy.
To craft a grenade, open the weapon will with L1 and use up or down on the D-Pad until you reach smoke grenades. Select and hold Square to craft.
Once you have three, you can simply throw them. You do not have hit any enemies for it to count.
