How to unlock the Right On Target achievement in Far Cry Primal - Definitive Guide

You can do this everywhere on the map, the best places are outposts and bonfires. Use your Owl to identify targets and set a waypoint as range indicator. After that go 50 feet away and aim a little bit over the enemy's head and throw the spear.

If (like me) you captured a lot of outposts and campfires before going for this achievement, I got both this and the bow achievement by starting some orange Wenja quests. Not only does this regenerate enemies who tend to stay put at certain locations, but it also gives you checkpoints which you can revert to if your shot fails and you are spotted. Equally there will be 'easy' level Wenja quests around even after you capture several sites.

Oh wow, didn't even think to set a waypoint using the owl. Worked like a charm!

man I hate this achievement so much. I've upgrade my spear and I aim little above their heads and the spear still lands short. I must waste so many spears and got caught so many times. This is the worst achievement in this game

To anyone who feels like the person above: it's not as tough of an achievement if you restart a checkpoint on a mission because then you can just keep going for the same enemy in the same situation over again and adjust whatever you did wrong. However, make sure you pick a basic red icon enemy with no helmet.

Not sure if this is glitchy but I killed a few udam from more than 50 feet using the owl to spot and set waypoints to identify the distance. Eventually unlocked it today but wasn't doing anything different. Maybe I was slightly further away 🤷🏻‍♂️

So, I found I got this (and Bullseye) in the South where 'The Fall of Batari' takes place. This would be past the Fort where you capture Roshani, quite easily.

This is most easily completed early in the game at an outpost or bonfire. It is recommend that you have a significant height advantage to your enemy. Use your owl to scan the area and mark the enemy that you want to kill. This will show you how far they are. Now aim your spear, compensate for drop/gravity and throw it. Feel free to die on purpose if you want to restart a checkpoint at an outpost.

Just to add to the other two guides you may want to light your spear in fire if your struggling on this achievement like I did. Also when I finally got it I was on even ground with the enemy and put my target aiming at the diamond above his head. Launched the flaming spear and achievement unlocked. Hope this helps!

This is recommended to be completed early in the game , as most enemies have lower armour / health and will die in one hit to a thrown spear. The video shows an outpost located just East of your village. Use your owl to target an idle enemy (one that is not moving) to create a waypoint that shows your distance from the target. If you mess up, run into the outpost and die, you should respawn outside the outpost and everything inside should reset.

Here is a video guide with English commentary for this achievement!

This can be gained really early on, during the very first mission to tame an animal.

Just after you tame the white wolf, you'll be told to use it to kill a nearby enemy. Instead you want to reload the checkpoint you just received to find yourself next to a smoking bowl between two antlers. Now walk up onto the large boulder immediately besides it and move to the edge overlooking the target area so you can just barely make out the man standing at the river's edge - you should stand far enough back that you can see the boulder you're standing on.

Here's the bit that might take some trial and error (and reloading).

You want to aim about two of his body height (think about twelve feet if that helps) above his head and launch your spear, if you did it right you'll get both the piddly 10xp for killing him and this trophy. If not, then simply reload the checkpoint and try again.

Edit: If you've already gone past this point, I'd suggest doing what I did, and look for a checkpoint during a mission right before you run into some enemies and see what you can do.

Actually, from the description it is clear what needs to be done. If that doesn't work, here's a video to help.

At a distance of 50 meters, you need to aim just above the marker above the enemy, approximately the height of the marker above.

Please note that fire spears and regular ones have different aerodynamics For fiery ones, it is worse; therefore, for fiery ones, you need to aim higher.

The easiest way to do this is to be high above the enemy, having previously marked the enemy with an owl in order to see the distance in steps to the enemy and understand whether it is worth trying at all. Aim above your head, physics is still present.
