How to unlock the This one doesn't know kung fu achievement in Farmer Survivors - Definitive Guide

Story-related; cannot be missed.

How this game is structured is that a run consists of 20 waves. Each wave has sets of enemies, indicated by the skulls on top of the screen. You have a set amount of time in a set before the next set spawns. After you finish all sets (sometimes two, three, or four), the wave ends, your health refills, and you get to choose items from three totems.

Every fifth wave is a boss fight (waves 5, 10, 15, and 20). They'll all pretty simple but annoying.

  • Wave 5 - Slime Boss: this thing just jumps around toward you. Hang out near it to shoot at it. Just watch out for when it "charges up" for its next jump, because this is when it dashes toward you extremely quickly and will assuredly hit you. Just dash away from it. Slow and steady boss fight
  • Wave 10 - Fire Moth: this boss doesn't really chase you, it just flies around you and shoots projectiles. They're easy enough to avoid as long as you pay attention to them though. It will periodically fly off-screen and then come dashing back across and leave flames in its wake. I'm not really sure how to know where it's going to fly across, but just be prepared to dash up or down. Other than that, hang out near it and keep shooting it
  • Wave 15 - Pumpkin: this boss is really annoying. Most of the time, it's just moving around shooting projectiles similar to the Fire Moth. However, it will eventually rest in the center and release a moth thing from inside that will fly around and shoot projectiles. During this phase, the boss can't be damaged at all. I had the boss do this six times in a row, to the point where I nearly was about to look up a video online to see how to hurt it, but it eventually stopped and switched back to normal attacks where I could damage it
  • Wave 20 - Praying Mantis: this annoying thing is incredibly mobile, but it's easy to aovid its attacks. The big tip is, when it goes over to the left or right side of the screen and goes up and down shooting projectiles across the screen, just stay all the way at the bottom of the screen, just next to its path. Its projectiles can't hit you here, so you're completely safe to just sit there and shoot it. Otherwise, follow it around and unload on it
I'll note here something that I didn't realize until halfway through my second run: those abilities that your weapons have, that you can use with lt.pnglb.pngrb.png, and rt.png? There is no cooldown whatsoever with them, so you can just spam them against bosses and enemies to your heart's content. It makes the boss fights go way faster.

After each regular wave, you'll get to choose from a new ability and/or a food item for a stat boost. For abilities, definitely grab the Revive if you see it. I also always grabbed the chain lightning one, and the duplicate shot one. Many of the others are useless, especially the one where standing still regenerates your health. You already get health regen without having that ability.

For the food items, I always prioritized fire rate and power. It's the only way to "upgrade" your weapons, and being able to kill enemies in one hit is such as huge benefit. Up crit rate and crit chance when you can too. I also would grab Max HP and HP Regen when I'd see them. I never bothered with status effect boosts (bleed, fire, poison) because I was always focused on just killing enemies in one or two hits because they could even get a status effect. Potatoes and Hamburgers were best, as well as Lemons. But, pick whatever you prefer for your stats. Those were my preferences.

In terms of weapons after the boss fights, they're basically all the same. They all shoot a projectile periodically at enemies. The only real difference is their abilities, but they all just do some sort of area of damage, so again it doesn't really make a huge difference.

After you beat the game you'll have unlocked all of these achievements.
