How to unlock the Chief of Cultivation achievement in Farming Simulator 19 - Definitive Guide

Note: It doesn't matter if you do it yourself or hire a worker for this to count. However, it must be done on a field you own, hired jobs do not count for this.

This is a simple achievement it just takes time. Just grab your favorite tractor, put a cultivator on the back and go to town on a field you own. The bigger the cultivator, the faster you can get this done. It is faster to rotate through the cultivating, sowing, fertilizing and harvesting on the same field so you are working on the achievements for all 4 instead of doing one group at a time.

You can make it less a chore by buying a big field and hiring a worker then walking away while your minion does the work. You will likely have to repeat this several times depending on how much you actually played the game before starting on it.

You should also get these while completing this one.

Worked fine for me just.

I realised that the statistics page defaults to acres, though still says hectares. It can be changed by a setting on the general settings page.

Does it have to be done in one session?

I can confirm it does not span across multiple savegames, it has to be done in a single playthrough but not a single session (you can save & exit), you can see the progression in the stats menu in the "total" column.

I'd recommend a machine that both sows and cultivates in one go. Found one under "Disc Harrows", can't quite recall the model.

I don't know it counts all of them, but I'm playing the PC version and I have one that cultivates, sows and fertilizes. I'll check tomorrow and see if it increases all three at the same time.

UPDATE: It doesn't count all three, just sow and fertilize. The equipment is Amazone Condor 15001. I got it in the Sower section.

@Healtti I used one the cultivates as it sows and it only progressed the stat for sowing, not cultivating.

To get the Cultivate X hectares trophies, you have to cultivate in your own land. Go to the shop and buy a cultivator(not plower), note that it works with a tractor attached. Make sure that your tractor is strong enough to pull the cultivator. Attach your tractor to the cultivator you bought at the shop, drive to your farm, unfold and lower your cultivator and drive in to your farmland, you should see a different colour between cultivated land and uncultivated lands. To check how much land you cultivated, press option and scroll to the statics page, note that you don't need to cultivate all the hectares in one session. Cultivation is required after you harvested and before you sow seeds. Note that doing contract does not count towards the total hectares.

Note that all farms combined in Ravenport doesn't have 100 hectares, so the fastest way to achieve this is to cycle through Harvest-Cultivate-Sowing-Fertilizing. To speed things up, you can turn off the option of plant withering, Lime required and Weed Growing and Periodic Plowing required so you don't have worry about extra steps.

Note: work done by hired workers does count, however work done on contracted fields does not - you must own the field for the counter to increase. These achievements are also known to be slow sometimes, so you might have to do a little extra.

Note 2: This must be done in a single save game, but is not limited to a single session

Cultivating is turning the soil over for the next crop on a field. Cultivators, Disc Harrows, and Power Harrows should count towards this achievement. Plows and subsoilers might, but they are much slower implements.

Note 3: Direct drill seeders and planters (those that do not require cultivating first) do not seem to count towards this set of achievements.

Cultivate is the first step toward the Harvest. If you followed the roadmap, now you will have field 19, 24, 25 and 26 ready to start, so now buy 4 Tractors with 4 Cultivators: buy the cheapest. Buy them by pressing and get them in the shop. Jump on the Tractor and connect the machine (for cultivators, fertilizers and sowers, go with the back of the tractor to the connection point of the machine and press . For the harvester, put the front of the machine to the connecting point of the Header and again press ).

Move all of the machines in your fields and have workers start to cultivate. Doing this, will “destroy” every crop in the field, so you can have a fresh start. The process can take some time, so you can also do something else. Just keep an eye on the blue dots to be sure that the job is in progress. As soon as one of the blue dots stops, go to it and try to use another worker while moving on the field. If nothing happens, the field is ready for the next stage: Fertilizing. 100 Hectares is a high number, so take your time. If you feel confident enough, you can buy other fields to speed up the process.

Cumulative achievements are only available on your own fields, what you have completed in contracts is not taken into account

Applies to all “cumulative” trophies: you need to do them in one game (save)
