How to unlock the Landfall achievement in Farworld Pioneers - Definitive Guide
Working as of 8.31.23
You must travel on the Dropship to another planet, the cheev popped as soon as I exited the dropship and walked a few feet from my ship on the new world. So in order to do this you must:
Research
The game's skill / craft tree is a little confusing but you need to make sure you've discovered and or researched the following topics (usually starting by finding them when mining non are particularly far from the surface but it doesn't hurt to get the upgraded pickaxe):
Batteries, Chemistry, Plastic, Circuit Boards, Shale Oil Refining, Tar(maybe not necessary), Refining, Acid Crystals, Glass, Steel, Copper, Machined Parts
You'll need the acid crystals researched to make acid to make gold, the rest should make sense.
You'll need at least a couple of colonists to run your research station during the day until you research batteries and figure out how to get the research station automated (its way slower on auto) so make sure you make everyone join you and imprison them in your base to do your bidding. For the greater good. I went out digging aimlessly after I found the facility and would return with minerals once the research done notification popped.
Construct the following Facilities:
Smelter, Refinery, Chemistry Lab, Work Bench, Research Bench, Armorer (To make bullets research as necessary)
-Find the underground factory and defeat the boss machine therein
This shows up on the map once you walk left or right and encounter it, it's what Buddy is talking about when you hit DOWN DPAD and select Current Objective. You will encounter a couple bats and other minor to medium threat critters, but eventually you'll come to a door you can go in. Inside is the boss a giant computer structure thingy, just shoot it in the center mass (it'll blink when you are scoring hits). Pretty easy you can just stand left of center and just shoot him, most of his electrical attacks will miss you. He shoots periodic electric balls and does a laser sweep that you just need to get on the opposite end of or platform to avoid. With peaceful mode on and the well fed buff healing you, you shouldn't have to ever use a medkit. I used a tommy gun I found in the underground factory, there's TONS of weapons in crates and chests, just bring 500-1000 ammo with you as there is very little to be found. Beating the boss will give you the datacard for the Dropship which you learn automatically.
Build Landing Pad
Once done and back near your base, hit RB and under the top option for crafting stuff, there is now a "Landing Pad" which looks like a metal barricade. This requires 10 STEEL INGOT 6 COPPER INGOT.
Create Dropship
Once the Landing pad is done, highlight it and hit X to "Run Landing Pad" you can now queue a dropship which costs
STEEL INGOT 60 (Smelter)
COPPER INGOT 40 (Smelter)
MACHINED PARTS 40 (Workbench)
CIRCUIT BOARD 10 (Workbench)
and forever holding X building it.
Install all the parts and then craft it by holding x or i guess you could have your colonists do it, but I didn't trust them not to space me.
To SPACE
Now you've got your dropship. Highlight it and hit X to "Enter Dropship(Colony)". Hit X while highlighting the cockpit on the right hand side to "fly somewhere". Select another planet and hit A BUTTON then A BUTTON again on "Initiate Launch". Hit RIGHT TRIGGER to "Turn key to initiate launch". The ship now takes a fairly long time to travel (strug load the next planet). You'll know you're getting close when the star trails in the background start going upward to simulate you going downward. Once you get there on the black background it will say Landed at the top of the screen under your hot bar. Now highlight the door with the red light above it (center ish of the ship) and hit X BUTTON to "Go To Planet" the cheev should pop once you're walking around on a presumably habitable planet. Congrats big time space explorer!

You need to research the "Exit" research, destroy the boss in the abandoned base, then research all the research related to the spaceship, build it and go to the neighboring planet.
