Farworld Pioneers

I, after a lot of trial and error, have managed to unlock this achievement as of a few moments ago. The key factor was starting a new game in multiplayer, as others have suggested, but where this guide differs is that you do not need to join someone else's game, or your own through running a second profile. If you already know how to set up online games and obtain sellable loot to hit your 5k goal, skip down to the underlined & bolded text bookmark and start from there.

First, hit up the Multiplayer option from the main screen. Next you need to choose Host Game. From here, set up your options. I chose East US for my server location, as that was nearest to me. I also chose to make it a Public server. Now pick Host Game on the menu from here and the game will start preparing your server. What seed you choose should not matter if you follow the general advice below, so go ahead and take whatever it generated for you and move on through the character customization.

Now when you spawn in you have your lifepod next to you with some basic gear. Health kits, a pickaxe and foodstuffs. Grab those, set them up on your hotbar (health restoratives especially) and then talk to Buddy to get into his Equip menu. Take the teleporter off him for easy movement later, and then pick a direction to run in. Along the way you are going to want to look out for surface containers; other lifepods, Military Chests and similar will have a number of goodies inside you need to grab. Anything from ammunition to weaponry and more expensive items can be found inside.

Now keep running until you either
a) find a stationary merchant NPC (weapons guy or the food dog)
b) find a surface access point to the facility dungeon

If you find option A, go ahead and make note of the direction it was in so you can return later to sell stuff(go ahead and sell things now, but keep health kits and at least one weapon and your pickaxe!). Continue running and if you don't find the other option, use your teleport beacon to return to spawn and go in the other direction. You will find a facility eventually, they are tied to the main story progression.

After finding one, make sure your hotbar is prepared and then go down inside until you find the first side passage, and just inside there should be a door with the option to Go Inside. Do so.

Here is where we make our money as quickly as possible; inside this area you will bump into a number of annoying bat enemies, but most importantly a lot of small wooden crates and hidden treasure chests with weapons, armor, grenades and blueprints(along with raw materials for later game crafting). Grab everything. Gems take first priority, then armor and general equips like boots or shoes, weapons. The items have a listed value. Sentry Guns are a high-price item too, so grab those!

When your inventory is filled up make your way back to the nearest merchant NPC and sell everything aside from one decent gun(I tend to keep the pump-action shotgun), health kits and some food. If you have yet to hit the 5000 spacebux amount, just make another trip. There are a number of hidden treasure chests in that facility so you should easily come to our goal number within one or two trips. If not, zip around the surface looking for more easy to reach loot containers on the top level of the world.

Now we get to the important part; if you hit the 5000 number and did not get the achievement, stop selling things so you don't go too far above it, that will make the next part more annoying and time consuming. You want to open your inventory and look just below where all the items sit. You should see your total spacebux listed. If you hover over it and hit the selection button(A on Xbox) you will grab some money out of it, in chunks of 100. Take this and place it into your inventory, and continue doing so until you fall below 5000 total in the wallet.

After you do, pick up enough and re-add them to your wallet until it goes above 5000. When I did this the achievement popped immediately for me. I am unsure why being in multiplayer works and doing the exact same thing in singleplayer does not, but this is the only thing that worked for me as of October 2023. Hopefully this should get those waiting for a patch over the finish line.

There is 2023.8.10. Unable to unlock this achievement. I have tried new file on both the console and PC, and also tried to delete cloud file, but still cannot unlock it.
Now it is August 18, 2023, I successfully unraveled this achievement. But I cannot determine the true triggering conditions, I can only describe my own process.
Firstly, I attempted to create a world with another account, and my main account joined that world. (An account with xgp membership logs in on xcloud, and another account logs in on console.)
My main account controls the character to mine and obtain some gems, which I sell to weapon merchants for 5000+ coins. But at this point, the achievement was not unlocked.
Then I went to kill an enemy with a red name, knocked him down to the ground, and continued to attack him until his body turned into a box where loot could be looted. When I open the box, the achievement unlocks.

For this achievement save up your emerald or other gems and sell them at a merchant they sell for a very high price so getting 5k will be faster then you would think
