How to unlock the Taming the Spirits achievement in FATAL FRAME: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse - Definitive Guide

Here is a list of wraiths in the order that they appear in my ghost list, and what appears to be the location where I photographed them. Bear in mind that most of them appear in multiple places, so you may see them sooner than I apparently did. For a chapter-by-chapter guide of what wraiths appear where and when, take a look at the guide for the Wii version on GameFAQs.

This should also serve as a list of known good places that wraiths can bloom, since I couldn't get certain wraiths to bloom anywhere but one spot. For example, Katsuhito Kariya only bloomed in the Laboratory, and not in his later appearances, despite my repeated efforts. Wraiths have a chance to blossom when their health is in a certain range, and are knocked back by a shutter chance or a Push or Explode lens. From what I understand, it works best in an open area without obstacles or walls.

Anyone know the best way to get ghosts to blossom as choshiro I've tried alot of times to get katsuhito kariya to blossom in the lab but still nothing?

I found with Choshiro, not centering the wraiths but instead aiming high so that their heads are just inside the bottom of the circle does less damage and makes it easier to chip away at their health gradually.

I also had to do another run on Nightmare to get those early wraiths, because Choshiro was so insanely powerful that he could two-shot Katsuhito Kariya, despite my effort to minimize the damage. I eventually made him bloom on Nightmare after a few tries of chipping his health down to about 20%, then trying to use lenses to knock him back without lowering his health too much.
