Set your single player Arcade mode on Beginner which is still challenging IMO.
I used Billy Kane for this. Just spam his " hold Down Y" button move which give his stick a good reach. Most time they will just walk into it,...every last one of them, even the Bosses.
Also use his his special move which is "hold back for 1 second and then forward w/ the Y button".
Basically a Guile Sonic Boom w/o the required 2 sec hold on the back directional pad.
I did this straight through and through. Once you beat the final Boss you unlock Ryo (which is 10 gamerpoints) and have to face him.
You must beat him 2 straight or you will not get the achievement for Survival.
One thing I would recommend is to have the 2nd controller on and press start in case you are about to lose a round.
I cannot promise this will not void the achievement, but im willing to believe it will still allow you to get it. But not 100% sure.
There are a total of 15 rounds. This is time consumming a very annoying so stick w/it. I got it after having this game for almost 2 years. Just decided to play it out of know where.

I would suggest spamming Billy Kanes move as suggested. I did say I was not sure if a 2nd controller would work ( over 3+ years ago o_O ). This was a pain in the ass chevo to unlock, make no mistake about it. Trust me, Billy Kane is the easiest way to beat the game w/o continuing.

Thumbs up. Great solution. For anyone looking to do this, Billy Kane is hands-down the best option. His staff attack with 
deals a lot of damage and has a far reach.

You can't use 2 controllers for this. The best way to get this is master someone. I am really good with Kim and he has some great moves. When fighting wolfgang never get apart from him. He will do the fire ball attack for awhile. And Geese likes to jump to the back. Don't follow him unless you know you can hit him while going after him. If you don't go after him stay there and keep hitting
