REB3L, did you ever figure it out?

Yep same issue, downloaded on PC, did the 1st level and rebooted up on the Xbox and can continue now. That issue sucks

Sorry for the late reply guys. Yes that is a PC issue. I ran into that same problem on one of my replays when making the walkthrough and had to restart. So my suggestion is:

1. If on PC, restart from beginning and play in one sitting. Should only take 2-3 hours.

2. Play on Xbox. There are no issues I'm aware of on Xbox other than an early but that got patched.

I'm on xbox and bought this last week and encountered this problem. So should I start over again and hope for the best?

I was on Xbox - I still have the issue, not started on PC yet but might give it a try this weekend. Stupid bugged game!

I think I found a workaround, but I had to delete all my save data (local and cloud), and run through the first 20 levels again quickly, and get back to the point where you unlock the Nulan character in the secret level past 'Jaws of Grass'. Then this time, after the cutscene and the level where you first play as Nulan, finding out about her special ability, I pressed 'Continue' in the onscreen menu and it took me back to the map screen. Then, I pressed RB to select Nulan, and then A to start the first world, where her icon was now showing, correctly. I think the first time I did it, I just pressed A straight away, which might be what triggers the glitch?

I also tried deleting just local save, and rebooting my console, but that didn't work, so I had to do the more drastic option... Only took 20 minutes to run through the levels this time - those fireball plants can still get lost though! :D

Quickly press a and rb. This will switch you from hero to nulan thus making her play on the first level

Can confirm that LEEQAEX's method works! I ended doing the final level first since I messed up the timing but it will let you get back to the beginning with Nulan.

If LEEQAEX's method doesn't work for you... I downloaded the game on my PC (it's and XBOX Anywhere title) chose Nulan, used the mouse pointer to select the first level, play through the first level, quit the game. Load it up on the Xbox, if it tells you that you have it playing on a different device select "play here instead" and bingpot you're good to go
