How to unlock the Complete Time Attack achievement in Feeding Frenzy - Definitive Guide

This achievement isn't as tough as it first seems. The first 5-10 levels may be a little tight but after that you'll have a decent chunk of time behind you. I didn't play that brilliantly (around 35,000th in the overall time attack leaderboards) but still took 15 mins into the final level.

Tips:

Stay low. The pearls give you a big boost towards your next growth checkpoint.

If you're near a growth checkpoint, play safe. Don't risk death for a risky fish.

Those speedy yellow fish that turn up occasionally are worth a lot of growth. Dash after them with the A button.

The best power-up is the red fish power-up. It automatically clears all the fish that you can eat.

Once you are big enough to eat a bigger type of fish, go for those mainly. They'll help you finish the level quicker than eating lots of small ones.

One thing I would add is that you do NOT have to finish the little minigames (the ones where you have to eat 40 fish, 40 time bubbles ,etc.) -- Failing those doesn't matter, you can just "Continue" to the next level.

The bonus levels can only give you time- finishing them faster will add the time remaining to your time bank.

Thanks. I was having so much trouble with this achievement, often not making it past level 6. The one bit of advice that made all the difference is to stay low and collect the pearls. Got it first try using that method.

You must finish all 40 levels without getting 0 on the clock. Just finish each level as fast as you can. You have unlimited lives but getting eaten can severely slow you down. When you finish a level the time you have remaining adds to the time bonus you get at the beginning of the next level. For me the first couple levels were the hardest, by the time I got to the end of the game I had a pretty big cushion of time I could use.

Could you provide some more tips? For example, would you focus on eating pearls, bigger fish, etc?

Off the main menu choose "Time attack". This version differs from Adventure mode in that you have a limited amount of time that travels with you from level to level. Run out of time and the game ends. You get a little bit of extra time at the beginning of each level to accomodate what the creators thought was fair. You shouldn't have a problem with this. Just beat the game, through every level (40 I believe?) and this achievement will pop for you. The best strategy is not to panic since dying takes away more of your time than any time you could save by jetting quickly around the water.

There are some tips to get past Time Attack Mode for the corresponding achievement:

1) If all else fails, try try again--For the first couple of stages, there won't be enough fish on-screen to be able to get clear the stage, so keep on trying until you get past this initial hurdle.

2) Stay Low--For most stages past Stage 2 of the Andy stages, where will be oysters on the bottom of the ocean that will ocassionally open itself up, sometimes revealing a pearl and shut itself. Be sure to quickly grab the pearl thar is in the shell before it closes, especially the black peal, which increases your growth 5x as much as a regular white pearl.

3) Catch me if you can--Every once in a while, there will be a golden minnow that will go on-screen and quickly swim off screen before you know it. Eating this fish will guarantee you a growth level, regardless of how are away from the next growth checkpoint you are.

4) Go on a feeding frenzy!--In the later stages, there will be a red pirhana bubble that once eaten, it will eat all of the fish you are allowed to eat at the time in a flash. Use this to your advantage.

5) Later levels = bigger time bonuses---After you get past the inital hurdle, your amount of time that increases at the start of a new stage will be longer as you progress. Once you reach Stage 8 of the Orville stages, the game will add a whopping 5 minutes to the amount of time you have left, meaning you will pretty much clinched the achievement at around stage 3 of the Eddie stages.

That is all of the advice I can offer for now.

I was able to finish every level in 5 minutes or less, and this is what I did:

-on levels with pearls always go for the black pearl

-if you see a golden fish try to dash toward it (A or RT)

-if you see any little fish around the pearl spawn just pick them off

-dash to get the pearls to guarantee the clam doesn't crush you.

-always grab piranha and time bubbles

-on shark king just stay away from the danger signs to avoid getting eaten

And just remember, you have infinite lives but you have a time limit to get the levels done by. the timer goes up by each mission (besides bonus eating challenges) and on the last level is up to 15 minutes, most of these levels will take you 5 or less if you can go quick enough
