How to unlock the Manager Merry-go-round achievement in FIFA 08 - Definitive Guide

Easy achievement. Might take a long time though. This fits in perfectly with the English, German and MLS league achievements.

1, England
2, Germany
3, Italy
4, France
5, Netherlands
6, USA
7, Spain

After these 7 you wont get the league achievements so do these countries.

8, Sweden
9, Republic Of Ireland
10, Scotland
11, Norway
12, Portugal
13, Austria
14, Poland
15, Turkey

On the last 8. Follow these steps.

1. Sign up, choose sponsor and buy decent players in the transfer market.
2. Make your permanent team in Team Management.
3. Sim every match.

As you dont have to win the league on the last 8. Just sim every match.

If you sim every game, just be careful you don't get sacked. That will ruin the achievement.

Something you need to add is that this must be done on one save, so once you finish one year you select to NOT re-sign with the same club

If you get sacked, the GAME OVER screen will come up. Be careful with your money, a sure way to get sacked is to go in to the red. No matter what your position or fan appreciation, if you have negative money, pretty soon the job security will drop.

I don't know if it was a glitch but in my 15th and last season i only played a couple of games, saved it then went to the menu screen. After i saved it and went back the achievement popped up. I didn't have to finish the season to get the achievement.

Another option to remember is that you can play the Australian league rather than the Rep. of Ireland one. Fewer games and no "Cup" games so you'll get through it quicker.

I had to play the US league twice does that mean I can't get the achievement on this save?

you can't get the achievement if you have to do one country twice (or more)
if you do so then you go "too far" in the game and in your 16th year (or more) you have to forfeit all games so achievement is ruined
also, as i had to restart myself, you don't have to win any league, just make sure you change to another country after each season

Okay, so start off in Manager Mode; a Franchise in this 'upper' class of teams (You also earn an achievement for having the best overall Regular season record for each League) Simulate every game; save only when you win, but keep an eye on the other CPU teams in Table Standings.

Then, when this season is over and you see a menu with players and check-boxes, continue but elect 'NO', allowing you to become a free agent and pick your next destination, and so on:

England
Germany
Italy
France
Netherlands
USA
Spain

Note: ALWAYS make a back-up save Name, if you get fired/sacked by the board, then this achievement is void! You only get fired if your budget plummets into the negatives or your 'Job Security' hits 0. So be careful if you decide to purchase Staff Upgrades. (I usually upgraded the trainer/fitness-cardio option only when I had a surplus $ in budget)

Note: For MLS (in the United States) you must win the MLS CUP to unlock it)

Once those are all simulated, it is your choice when managing the 8 remaining Leagues. Only this time, you need not worry about 1st place. Just avoid relegation (bottom 4 to be safe) and keep an ever watchful eye on your budget and job security. Winning and conservative Staff Upgrades are the way to go. Any of the next regions are valid:

Australia, A-League
Austria, T-Mobile Bundesliga
Belgium, Belgian League
Brazil, Liga Do Brasil
Czech Republic, Czech League
Denmark, SAS Ligaen
Ireland Republic, FAI Eircom League
Korea Republic, K-League
Mexico, Primera Division
Norway, Tippeligaen
Poland, Ekstraklasa
Portugal, Liga Portuguesa
Scotland, SPL
Sweden, Allsvenskan
Switzerland, AXPO Super League
Turkey, Turkcell, Super Lig

Should take 4-5 hours with this strategy!

For this one, at the end of every season in manager mode, don't sign a new contract with the club you're at, but join another club in another country. Don't get yourself sacked from a club though, as you will have to start again from scratch.

Try to sign with the better clubs in the league, as you'll find it easier to play against other teams.

Also, you could play these games on professional for the 50 games won in professional achievement
