I know this is EXTREMELY late on, but if there's anyone out there, like me, who wants to get this shit over with there's an even faster technique knocking off these different league achievements.
Simply go to your FIFA 08-profile and turn auto-save off.
Then, start simulating the games in the league you are currently playing. After the match, the game asks you if you want to save. If you win - do it. If you lose - don't. Back out and sim the match again until you win. This way you can complete the tournament in ~20 minutes.
Rinse and repeat for all the other leagues.

I won the league twice with houston dynamo and i still haven't got the ahievement whats up with that.

Me too. 2 seasons with LA Galaxy, no popping. This is glitched?
