1) Get A Mate To Play Fifa With You
2) On Arena Menu Click 'Xbox Live''
3) Click 'Online Team Play'
4) Click 'Play With Friends'
5) Put Thehalf Length Down To 2 Mins
6) Play As The Team You First Selected As Your Favorite Team. For Example. Mines Stoke City FC. :)
7) Play. (You Don't Have Too Win)
8) A Beautiful 10G. Not Much But It Could Be The Difference Between... 0 and 10G.

You don't have to have a friend play. You can just create a custom match and since it is your match, it will use your favorite team as your team. Then you can just sit there while others play since it doesn't matter if your win or lose.

^^yes but, in a custom game you have to wait for a while at times for it to fill up.

You select your favourite team when you create a profile on the game, and you can later change this by going to “My FIFA 10” > “Profiles and edit your stats from there. From here simply go into an Online Team Play game and select your favorite team as the team you want to be, meaning you will have to be the captain to assure you get the team you want.
