How to unlock the Creating History Together achievement in FIFA 12 - Definitive Guide
Enter UEFA Euro 2012 game mode. Select a team that is five-stars and set the difficulty to amateur under the game settings. Set your 2nd controller to your team. Now you will not be able to pass, because the 2nd controller will be the one to receive the ball (I don't find a way to lock the 2nd controller to one individual on-field player, which would make this much easier). Score one goal by sprinting through the opposition and then proceed to just hold the ball in the back third of the field (on amateur the CPU will not bother coming to get you very aggressively and when they do will be easy to dribble around). Do this for all six games and you should unlock the achievement.
A few notes:
If you have difficulty scoring with this method you can adjust the CPU and player sliders in the game settings.
It may also make things easier on you if you lower/turn off the auto-switching for the 2nd controller.
It may not be necessary to win every game, just win your group; But you're there anyway so you may as well.
I know of no way to complete this over Xbox Live with a friend.
Obviously this will be easier and more enjoyable with an actual second person.
Scoring two goals will allow you to go AFK and just come back if you hear that the opposition has scored.
You could change out all the teams in the tournament to "minnows" but that seems like more work than necessary.
If you are losing the game and time is almost up you should quit to the dashboard, unless you have autosave turned off.
Edit: It may be necessary at this time to complete the whole run in a single sitting. I originally played the first game then quit out after and came back later. The second game would finish but would not present the end of game screen (this happened three times). Starting a new tournament seems to have fixed this glitch.
Edit2: This achievement is glitched - it unlocked for me after winning the semi-final.
Okay for some people (like me) this achievement has been glitched and would not unlock.
So I finally was able to get the achievement to unlock, but I tried many methods.
First I tried to just delete and redownload the DLC, which I can confirm does not work. If this achievement is glitched for you, simply redownloading the DLC will not "unglitch" it (I'm not sure if unglitch has ever been used before, but add it to the dictionary lol)
The only thing I was able to do to actually get the achievement to unlock was to delete all files associated with FIFA 12 (or move them to another save device if you want to keep them) and then clear my system cache. After that I redownloaded the DLC and went straight into doing this achievement. I played all 6 games back to back and the achievement unlocked immediately after winning the championship.
So it seems deleting all files and your cache should get you this achievement. Hope this helps anyone who has had it glitched.
Just wanted to say thanks for your solution, it helped me get my achievement.
I did the below in one sitting and won all the games.
I copied the DLC over to a USB stick, as it is no longer downloadable, then deleted all of Fifa 12's saved data on my xbox 360.
I then cleared my System Cache 3 times and copied the DLC back over to the xbox.
Booted up Fifa 12 and the Euro's DLC.
I did not have a Profile signed in on the second controller.
I also ensured that neither controller disconnected, by constantly having them running around.
Once I finished the Final my achievement popped.
A massive thank you to xxDAMRONxx!
All the best!
GLITCHED
The same as "We Are The Champions" only that this time you will need to play with 2 controllers. Even though you might not have anyone to play with at the time, you can still do it alone. Just set the difficulty to Amateur, score a goal, then just run around your defence until the time runs out.
Sadly the reassigning of controllers doesn't work here so you actually need 2 controllers.
This trophy has glitched for some people. For some it won't unlock and some people get it earlier than they're supposed to.
To avoid glitches, make sure to have both controllers charged if you have wireless and have none of them disconnected during your games. If it still don't unlock for you, delete your FIFA 12 Game Data (not your save) and reinstall UEFA EURO 2012.
This achievement is gained by having two players play on the same team during the whole of the Euro 2012 championship - and winning, of course. This is done in the UEFA EURO 2012 mode (offline). You can either play with a friend sat next to you and win the tournament or you can play with a second controller. To make this easier you can change all the sliders of the CPU right down. If you are playing with a second controller, be careful because if the second controller turns off due to inactivity, the achievement becomes unobtainable and you'll have to start the tournament again. Try using a wired controller for the second controller if you have one.
