How to unlock the Long Term Signing achievement in FIFA 14 - Definitive Guide

You DO NOT have to buy the 99 match player contract from the catalogue.

It can be bought from the transfer market and you still get the achievement.

Just search for a Gold contract, minimum price 1000 and you should find loads of 99 match contracts. Then just apply it to one of your players and you should get the achievement.

This helps people who have already got the achievement on the 360 version of the game and do not want to spend months leveling up so they can buy another one from the catalogue.

You should probably mention that you must be level 15 for these to show up in the transfer market. Had to find that out from the 360 solution, and would have saved me a bit of time. Otherwise great guide.

Updated: Thanks to S P 4 C E Y for telling me about the multiple contracts.

Firstly a warning. If you have redeemed the 99 match contract in the Xbox 360 version of the game you cannot redeem it again on the X1 For that level. I have tried to have it gifted to me and that doesn't work either.

If someone finds a work around for this issue please let me know and I will update the solution to reflect this.

You can get a 99 match contract at multiple levels from the EA catalogue. Luckily someone who was a higher level than me gifted me the item. If you have redeemed every contract it may still be unobtainable but that is unconfirmed.

Below are the first 3 levels that you can redeem them. You do not have to be the required level to have them gifted by a friend.

Level 15
Level 33
Level 67

I can currently gift the level 15 and will soon be able to gift the level 33 as well. I will update this when I hit that level. I am more than happy to send them to people. There are multiple 99 contracts available from the catalogue - are you a high enough level to have unlocked them all?

I am a level 63, and I need to get to level 67 for the next one. This is super annoying you can't purchase these multiple times. Even though the Seasons wins and draws reset for me on X1, these did not.

I am level 42 and have to wait until level 67 to unlock next 99 contract, which obviously is going to take a veeeery long time.

Can someone please gift one to me? I am more than happy to trade it for a few thousand FUT coins perhaps?

Easy way that I got this Trophy was to go to Transfer market and buy a 99 Match Player Contract. You will probably want to have at least 1,500 currency. If you are having trouble finding it for sale put the search specifications at Gold and minimum price at 1,000. Then all you need to do is apply the consumable on a player, and the trophy should pop (do Trophy's pop? Achievements did facepalm).

From the EASFC Catalogue, buy a 99 Match Player Contract. The first one unlocks at level 15 for 1,000 FCC. When bought, enter FUT and apply it to a player.

The first step of this achievement is to buy a 99 Match Player Contact. This can be done by going to the "Football Club" tab from the Main Menu, and selecting the "Catalogue" tile. Now switch to the "Ultimate Team" tab and purchase the "FUT 99 Player Contract" for 1000FCC. You will need to be level 15 to unlock the item. Now to apply the contract to a player in your squad, go to the FUT menu and select the Squad tab. Select "Active Squad "and press on a player to bring up the "Actions" menu, select "Apply Consumable" and choose the 99 Match Player Contract you bought for the achievement.
