The achievement only requires to redeem the 2000 points to "qualify", not play in the weekend league. So I contacted EA chat support to see if they can add the option to just redeem/qualify for the achievement to unlock. They said they will pass on the feedback to see if the achievement can be obtainable considering playing in the weekend league is not required. I suggest everyone else contact them too, the more people who do, the better! They should notify people from day one if an achievement like this is ever gonna become unobtainable!

So Xbox have royally screwed us with this. Achievements are back up but you need to redo the requirement. Which is impossible. Has anyone managed to unlock this after it didn’t pop in the first place?

Should be flagged as so! Otherwise completionists might start this game on EA Access/GamePass only to be pissed off when they find out.

It's currently open (Wednesday evening, BST)! Been waiting over a week for it to allow registrations. Not sure what schedule it's on. Tried asking EA themselves and they just said the older games have 'reduced frequencies of events'. It's still possible to get every now and then, just not very often. Wednesday evening is when the TOTW is normally released (obviously not anymore) in the UK and Europe, so maybe that has something to do with it. Hard to say.

After that you still belive EA will ever fix this? Look at other EA games, this damn idiots will never fix anything. I will never buy an EA game. I have lost my trust in this company. I think you should do the same folks. Such behavior doesn't deserve any trust of us players or achievement hunters anymore. I mean this game was quite a year out and now we can't complete this game because of EAs CLOSURE MADNESS. I was playing ea games since ps one times but now? Its's the same in Fifa 20. This achievement/trophy will be discontinued toot and they don't give a S.H.I.T on that. You will see guys. Since Fifa 08 consequently server closures. Sorry but I have no word for this.

@Danger Days 11 - Because I don't know the answer to his question and I was in the same boat as him. So I was annoyed with your response on saying how much it cost when we already knew that. Anyways, it's a shame that you missed out on this achievement because of Xbox Live going to shit and I was wondering if you brought that up with EA Support? Perhaps, they do the Weekend League again....it really does suck that they are saying it is a "one-time only thing" when the game is not even 2 years old.

I got screwed over but to a lesser extent with both the rank 3 tier and placement matches achievements but I was able to get the rank 3 tier achievement by getting up to rank 2. I assume I will have to delete my club and start from fresh to get the placement matches (which I'll do once I'm done with the majority of FUT and perhaps sell my cards to a friend so that I can buy them back).

Yes maguzzolo. As of Sept. 1st, there will not be any more FUT Champions. Only rivals will still be on, though.

They are re opening the fut champion one time only for this weekend. 20th march. I have just unlocked the achievement just by spending the 2000 points to register for the competition! Hurry up friends!! Start fifa 19 to take a look at the advice!!!

I have tried hitting a bunch of stuff in the ultimate team menus. No joy. I spoke to an EA rep who said there’s nothing that can be done and we can’t de-register and register again.

He's asking, if he can enter after the weekend league has started or does he have to do it before? Not how much.

You have to enter before the weekend league has started. You can’t get the achievement whilst it’s in progress so 7am tomorrow UK time is the deadline.

An EA rep told me this morning that this issue has been reported and the “game developers are investigating”. Probably just a standard response. I can confirm that competing in a match did not unlock the achievement either for me.

Hey guys the achievement just popped for me!! I wasn’t even on my Xbox I got the notification on my phone!

I was missing the 2 placement matches achievements because of the xbl issue but they unlocked today. They didn't pop on my xbox though, only on my computer

I saw the news on TA wednesday evening, i started quickly to reach 2000 pts (i had 300) with a very bad bad team, i played all the night and the whole friday, i reached 2000 pts few hours before the league's start, and got the div 4 achievement friday morning :) Thank you !

ps : many achivements issues these days, hope the'll get fixed

I just got to the 2000 needed points, but when I try to redeem them to unlock the achievement it says that "Registration has ended" and I cannot get into the Weekend League to unlock the achievement. Am I missing something?

Seems to be broken again. No unlocks since January 10 and the "Registration has ended" message is back.

Yeah achieved 2000 last night and nothing. That’s two unattainable achievements now. Poor service EA. Achievements should be challenging but inevitably achievable no matter game age.

Its saying next qualif in 3196 days and 17 h its a bug

What happens when you try to enter it?

Wait for Thursday/Friday to register. It's weekend league, that's when registration is normally open.

yea I have had the points for about 2 weeks now ( 2 weekends) the option to register is greyed out. In 21, the achievement pops without even spending the 2k points.
