Load up the Journey mode from the main hub. Following a few cutscenes from the previous Journey mode, you will be playing a match against Coventry. A corner will be crossed in near your Icon. Simply shoot and he should volley the ball. Once you score the achievement will pop. You will be given as many attempts as you need to score this.

I would say if you don't score then the journey mode continues. I'd have to go back and verify this but you may have to start a new journey mode if you miss the volley.

Done the left foot volley but no achievment on the journey

I started the journey today and to my initial horror missed the volley. Luckily, it goes back to the corner to give you another chance. I’m not sure how many chances you get as I scored on the third opportunity.

Can confirm you have to score the volley in order to progress in The Journey. You get as many attempts as it takes.

However, it is missable. If the achievement doesn't pop during the replay after you've scored, quit to the dashboard and load up again or start a new save.

Story related and cannot be missed.

This is the very first play in the first The Journey match. You will be in the shoes of Jim Hunter, Alex’s grandfather. The match will start in a corner kick. Simply kick the ball to score it. If you fail to score with a left foot volley, the corner will be repeated.

He scored with his left foot more than once. The trophy doesn't drop, I'm tired of starting the story over and over again. It’s very difficult to score there otherwise, because the goal is a storyline, it’s not clear what the glitch is(
