How to unlock the In the Game achievement in FIFA 21 - Definitive Guide

Go to the Kick Off menu and select a regular game. Choose two women’s team and press forward. Right before starting the game, go on to game settings and change the difficulty to beginner, also change the length of each half to 4 minutes to make this quicker. Start the game.

Score a goal and just wait the game out as the opponent won’t attack the ball.

The achievement should pop up after you end the match and get back to the menus.

Apparently, choosing house rules and picking first to 1 goal works as well. Do as above, choose two teams, first to one and score a goal or own goal. Game should finish and achievement pop up.

i played the match and achievement didn’t pop. Then i looked on my recent activity and it was there it popped 2 minutes ago. Strange

Easy to score on low difficulties but Mexico has worst defense rating, USA is easy to score with

The simulation doesn't work. You need to play one match with your hands.

You can get it through the simulation and finish it yourself in the end.
