How to unlock the Bench Pressing achievement in FIGHT NIGHT CHAMPION - Definitive Guide

I just got this achievement yesterday. It pretty much follows on from the Bicep Curling achievement.

There are no real hints or tips I can give for getting this and it's not easy to boost as the fights have to be OWC and you randomly get paired with people who are in and around the same level as you. Add to that each weight class has it's own OWC rating so you need to focus on 1 weight group. To make things more difficult you lose OWC points when you lose a fight. Depending on the quality of your opponent I've found the points lost ranging from 2 - 51.

So taking that into account you need to be looking at putting together winning streaks to move up the ladder. Once you reach an OWC level you won't go below it even if your points drop below it from losing.

Here's a guide to the point milestones from lvl 15 - lvl 30.

lvl 15 - 1200pts - starting point
lvl 16 - 1250
lvl 17 - 1300
lvl 18 - 1350
lvl 19 - 1400
lvl 20 - 1450
lvl 21 - 1500
lvl 22 - 1550
lvl 23 - 1600
lvl 24 - 1650
lvl 25 - 1700
lvl 26 - 1750
lvl 27 - 1800
lvl 28 - 1850
lvl 29 - 1900
lvl 30 - 1950

I've averaged about 34pts per win. So with some simple math to get from the start of lvl 15 - lvl 30 scoring my average per fight and without losing it would take about 22 - 23 Wins.

It took me alot more than that though to get to here due to losing streaks.

Best of luck. It's tough. Now to push to lvl 45

I've no idea what the points system was based on. Sometimes I'd get 50+ points for a win and sometimes only 2 or 3 points.

The game tries to match you to other fighters of the same skill level so I can only presume you get more points for beating people higher ranked than you and less for new starters or what not. Whether or not your current streak or your opponents has any bearing on the points is anybodies guess.

I could never truly figure out the scoring system for wins and losses as you rarely got the same amount of points consistently. I've given up on this game since as it was hell getting to level 30 and I couldn't stomach the next 1500 pts required to reach lvl 45.
