How to unlock the Breaking A Sweat achievement in FIGHT NIGHT CHAMPION - Definitive Guide

Hi Guys
Important Advice : Once you start the training session if your opponent is someone ranked very high quit it and restart until you have someone with weaker stats.

Close the Show : Work on keep connecting with counter punches to knock down your opponent. Counter hooks and straights work best as seen in the video.
Edit by Musquito (Reported Content Team): The videos have been removed as they do not longer exist.

Fighter you should use : Gamboa

Defensive Specialist : Don't try and attack, keep blocking and holding LT while tapping backwards whenever your opponent swings.

Fighter you should use : Gamboa

Double End Bag : Keep jabbing and whenever you on the spot for 2x,4x or 8 x bonus use uppercuts. This one is very easy..

Fighter you should use : Gamboa or any featherweight

Get Inside : One keyword - Uppercut - keep walking forward and using uppercuts.

Fighter you should use : Gamboa

Heavy Bag Combos : Not too many tips I can provide here , just if you fail one combo , you will have to restart.

Fighter you should use : Gamboa

Heavy Bag Push : Use a heavyweight and use quick hooks , don't use power hooks. Also keep moving forward as you hit the bag.

Fighter you should use : Mike Tyson

Maize Bag : Hold LT and tap up and down ,when you get to 2 , tape once just before the bag and once just after the bag followed by a jab.

Fighter you should use : Gamboa

Open Sparring : Uppercut , uppercut , uppercut

Fighter you should use : Frost or Ali

Stay on your feet : Try and knock your opponent down the first 2 rounds. Now keep pushing lt and backwards as your opponent swings to dodge until you are out of the red. Counter punch with quick hooks and straights , don't try use power shots.

Fighter you should use : Frost or Ali

Stay on the outside : Just hang back in a corner and uppercut , uppercut , uppercut.

Fighter you should use : Frost or Ali

Why does your stamina bar never go down? I tried following these and the vids that say uppercut, uppercut, uppercut always seem to drain my stamina but the videos show you spamming uppercuts with no loss of stamina?

Hanging out in the corner didn't work for me on "Stay on the Outside," so I walked around a little and just made sure I was at a good distance when I threw my punches. Other than that, couldn't have done it without ya

Holy fucking shit!!! these bag combos SUCK!!!! fucking boxing game using the stick as punches has got to be the stupidest fucking design for a boxing game. too easy to make an error in the 360 controller stick which has too many angles that are not in the design.

The heavy bag combo is utterly broken. The weaving just doesn't work most of the time, either my guy just stands there with his thumb up his ass or weaves the wrong way and I lose the combo. Getting this shit to read your movements flawlessly for a full min is nothing short of a miracle. My best is 7500 and I could have had the 8000 but I lose a full 2 seconds because he wouldn't fucking weave.

Rhe combos are rough. You just gotta be fast and try to move the sticks fast to make the punches flow. You don't have to wait for the next move to ding to hit it. Just keep those thumbs moving. Took me about an hour on the combos. Everything else is pretty easy.

Heavy bag combos is ridiculous. First and last EA game I'm ever buying.

You guys (or gals) recommend analog stick or buttons for heavy bag? Average about 7500 trying both methods, but looking for any tips or suggestions for getting that last 500 points to reach 8000. Thanks

^I used the sticks because I'm used to it. But it still took me about 2 hours to do the heavy bag (may be my shit controllers).

The videos in this solution do not exist by the way.

Finally got it with buttons. If you don't complete last combo before time finishes in heavy bag combos you still get some points. That's why the videos that are out there show the guy at 7500 then getting over 8000 after the event. That's what happened to me.

The best method for stay on the outside is to use Frost and to stay just in range and pop 3-4 jabs along with the occasional uppercut whenever they drop their guard. If you stay in the corner and use uppercuts they count as being on the inside and you get reduced points

Jesus fucking christ these heavy bag combos are a bitch! Who the hell designed the detection for what punch you're throwing because they have a special place in hell!!!

The overhands are really screwing this up, it thinks it's a hook half the time and the weaving is so finicky

Got it changing the settings on control settings from stick to button, makes the world of difference

One of the worst solutions ever. What a mess.

Agreed, if you change the config to buttons the heavy bag isn't as bad. Also game's stick detection on the weave move is horrible. It was easy for me once I over did the move. I flicked the stick more to the left & up before coming down and around and this fixed the issue. Same with the other weave. I flicked the stick more to the left and down before coming up and around. It detected it way better this way and I got 8400 after a few tries.

Easiest way to do Get inside is to walk right up to your opponent and wait for his guard to drop. As soon as he does jab him 5 or 6 times. keep an eye on your score. Keep in mind punching air and blocked punches will decrease your score. Then just wait for him to drop it again and jab again. If you do this right you will easily rack up points. I got 40,000 my 2nd try with this method. The upper cut method didnt work for me because its a harder to move to spam because of the not so perfect right stick. Jab is easy as your only have to press X. Also when I was attempting to use Uppercut, I would get hit big and it would erase most of the points I gained.

Right - First Cheevo Guide but what i found was so good I thought id share - Probably stupid as it makes this cheevo very easy and also can be applied for the DLC default cheevos.

Takes a little bit of time to set up but its worth it...

1. Go to boxer Edit and reduce the talent of DIB, Gamboa, K.Kell and Donaire. Take all power punches off them and reduce speed and power etc to 75.

2. Create a Featherweight Boxer - Fill him to the max - 100 everything and make him 20 on all skill punches.

3. Depending on the training game required go to AI setting for the now near harmless computer boxers.

e.g. For the "Stay on your feet" set AI to stand Off, Plod - Throw single punches, only jabs - clinch lots etc

4. Start the sparing training games and chuckle as you easily survive or drop your openent like gravity.

Can I just add in a little thing that helped me for the heavy bag combos. Instead of using the right stick for every punch, I used the X and Y buttons for the jabs/straights. You could also use A and B for the hooks but I didn't. Might not work for everyone but it reduces the times you press slightly the wrong direction on the right stick. I got it within about 30 minutes of trying.

Quite an interesting and difficult trophy. But there is nothing impossible about it

So, you need to get the " Champion " rating in every workout. There are 10 in total

Go to the main menu - Game mode > Training games:

1) Open sparring (40,000) - take Ali or Tyson and begin to consistently carry out uppercuts, pressing the opponent to the ropes. At some point it will start to fall, and we will get a lot of points. I advise you to neglect defense and only monitor the level of " stamina ". Opponents are active at the beginning of the fight and when there is strong pressure they go on the defensive

2) Stay on your feet (35,000) - we take Ali and in the first two rounds we score the maximum possible number of points, carrying out uppercuts and trying to knock down our opponent. Ideally, about 40 - 45 thousand. If you don’t have this amount, you can safely replay. Next, as soon as you come out of stun, try (if possible!) to carry out 1-2 hits. This will stop your opponent and give you a few extra seconds.

3) Close the show (45,000) - take Ali or Tyson and begin to carry out a series of direct blows to the head. The Power Modifier should not be used, the speed and accuracy of the strikes are important here! When the opponent stops “swimming” (starting from the 3rd round), we immediately switch to uppercuts (they give the maximum for them)

4) Defensive specialist (20,000) - take Ali . The tactics are very simple. While at arm's length from your opponent, press the dodge button in time . If you are far away, but your opponent still hits (this happens when his stamina is low), your dodge will be counted towards you! If you feel that you won’t be able to dodge, press block ( ) and get your 400 points (Don’t block too often! Most of the hits go through after the first one )

5) Get inside(35,000) - take Tyson . The point of the training is to strike from close range. It is important to understand that knocking out your opponent will most likely not work here . The calculation is based on precise series of close strikes . We use only uppercuts! It is not necessary to alternate (left-right), it is important to hit them several times in a row

6) Stay outside (55,000) - literally “stay outside.” The workout looks extremely difficult, but it is not. Tatika: take any long-armed boxer, Ali will do. From the very beginning of the fight, we begin to carry out a series of long straight blows to the head. The modifier should not be used! The opponent practically does not use defense and at some point begins to fall only this way, and we gain points

7) Heavy bag combos (8,000) - you just need skill + understanding how to carry out blows “in an arc” R-stick . There is nothing complicated about it (as is believed). Any boxer will do. To win, the streak must not be interrupted under any circumstances. Interrupted? Retry! Easy combinations, such as “up, down, up” and similar ones (even as part of complex ones) need to be done as quickly as possible so that the stick clicks.

8) Heavy bag push (35,000) - take Tyson and begin to carry out uppercuts in the red zone. It is critical to hit consistently , aka left-right-left-right, etc. You should not use a modifier! Pace and regularity are important here.

9) Double end bag (55,000) - you will need a fast boxer, Roy Jones Jr will do. It is necessary to carry out a series of blows while in the designated area. I recommend using uppercuts (500 points) and performing them strictly consistently . It is important not to miss hitting areas! Otherwise you won't get bonus zones where you can get 2X, 4X and even 8X points

10) Maize bag (15,000) - you will need a fast boxer, Roy Jones Jr will do. You need to dodge the punching bag a certain number of times and strike any blow (in the air, not at the punching bag!). The tactics are simple: hold down the dodge button ( L1 ) and, at the trainer’s command, deliver a quick blow. In one swing you can easily dodge 2-3 times. I recommend not releasing the button even when hit, and most importantly, don’t rush! There's enough time. Use this particular training in Legacy mode as the fastest and most effective for leveling up before a fight.

You go into game modes and select the 3rd line from the top, this is the training, there are 10 of them, see how many points are required for the champion and then the training is difficult, so be patient
