Retire as the GOAT in Legacy Mode

How to unlock the How Poetic achievement in FIGHT NIGHT CHAMPION - Definitive Guide

Go to legacy mode settings and turn up your fighters stats all the way. Lower your opponents, although I would suggest leaving the punch aggression as/is if you are a counter-striker.

I find sparring is the best way to earn points for my fighter. Then usually do two athletic trainings and one rest. Go into the fight with about 80% stamina.

DONT GET DISCOURAGED. I was at my 40th fight before my trainer *successfully offered a move up in weight classes. Your trainer may ask you earlier, but the game will say the offer has expired because you're fighting a mandatory title defense. Keep opening the letter in your e-mail inbox with the invite after every fight. Eventually, it will let you do a catchweight bout and then move up.

Just keep burning through fights in your new division and you should qualify for GOAT as soon as you hit 51 fights. Good job!

Can you do this with a character from the main story like bishop himself? I've played a good 60 matches and no GOAT

No, create-a-fighter only, If I remember correctly. Also, are you winning all the fights. I know I didn't put that in the solution, but I guess I assumed it was a given.

another easy achievement in the fight night series, the fastest way to get this achievement is to buy the xp Packs in the store and use them on the skills like jab, hook, and straights to the head and the gold upgrades for your athleticism attributes like power, speed, stamina etc etc.next go the settings in the legacy mode menu and turn the difficulty to amateur and boost the boxer power, speed, physical damage, toughness, accuracy, and stamina to the max and then just play through the game.

The worst part about getting this achievement is obviously getting to 51 fights (the earliest you can retire at in G.O.A.T rating) i got all three titles around my 28th fight and the next 23 were rather boring.

couldn't you hypothetically save yourself the $$ and just win every fight you compete in.. if you lose by decision, just dashboard it?

im sure you can win every fight without a problem without spending the cash, but its easier if your boxer is the best he can be and the way i mentioned is the fastest seeing as each fight only took me 20 seconds to knock out my opponent.

The points are needed when its on amateur, with the sliders in your favour most fights will end in the first round with a couple good shots

Yes@claptrap. I was a heavyweight the entire time. @Asimister, it does not pop up when you become the G.O.A.T. You'll need to take a look at your career/player menu to select "retire". Once you choose to retire the achievement will unlock. I know my responses are over 2 years later, but I'm just getting around to this 2011 release in the year 2015. facepalm

After 51 fights are done and you've completed the Legacy Mode Millistones, you're popularity meter will reach Greatest Of All Time. Once it has hit this, click on the Legacy Mode menu and select retire. Once done, the trophy will unlock.

In the main menu of Legacy Mode, go to the Legacy Goals tab. There is a checklist that will show you exactly what you need to do to retire as the GOAT. You will need to retire when all of the following are checked off:

  1. 90% winning percentage or greater.
  2. 95% popularity or greater.
  3. Over 50 fights completed.
  4. P4P (pound for pound) rank exceeds 5.
  5. Defend titles 8 times.
  6. Hold at least 3 belts.
  7. Win at least 2 belts in a higher weight class.

All of these will come through natural progression of Legacy Mode. Make sure you attend events and win. If you are playing on easy, this won't be difficult at all. Don't forget, you need to retire as the GOAT, so don't retire early.

After your 51st fight if you have completed all the tasks above, retire your fighter and the achievement will unlock.

To become a GOAT boxer you must fulfill a number of conditions:

1) Must win >90% of fights (% win rate)

2) Popularity above 95%

3) Conduct more than 50 battles (min 51, but actually 52)

4) P4P Rank above 5

5) Defend the title 8 times

6) Win 3 belts in a weight category

7) Win 2 belts in the next weight category (this point is not needed for heavyweights).

After that, end your career.

When your manager invites you to follow. weight category, then immediately accept this offer.

For completing Legacy Mode you will be given boosts for strength, speed, conditioning and reflexes. You can see what you need to do to get them on the corresponding tab.

Just play and when there are already approximately 45 or 50 fights in your career, then you will be in the “GOAT” title and feel free to leave after the trophy is yours! It doesn’t matter what difficulty you play on, the main thing is to achieve the “GOAT” title
