this video is not mine, all rights reserved to the Shogun. I hope that helps everyone who could not do it just by reading. Thank you.

Thanks for reminding DeathGuard 123.

Thanks for the video, really helped me out what to do. You might want to add to your solution that doing the combos with the trainer guy like he is doing in the video doesn't count, it has to be real enemy's.

The toughest one for me was number 7, number 8 i got done after 5 attempts or so. I learned a way to remove the opponents focus bar very easy without dealing too much damage and after that it wasnt hard at all. (number 1 left to do)

Here's how I was able to get most of the combos. What I mainly noticed is for Combos such as #8 and #3 that require you to hit your foe with a certain move after they dodge. These are easiest to initiate against the Heavyweights such as Piston Joe, One Jab, and Kawharu, because they are slower to recover than lighter opponents. Just be sure to go for these once your opponent has Low Focus or has just recovered from a Sweep as that's how I got some of them. However, some combos such as #2 and #7 can be done at any point.

Combo #3 I got against Piston Joe. Simply throw out attacks and hope he dodges them then follow up with an Elbow. If you're lucky, you will hear the announcer yell "Combo!" from which you'll have to follow up with two L.Knee Strikes and a R.Spin Heel Kick. Combos #5 and #7 also initiate often against Piston Joe but Rider also works well.

Combo #4 and #6 can be done against Kawharu pretty easily. He goes for Spinning Back fists quite often just be sure to watch his Left Hand when he's about to go for it, dodge, then quickly move your Right Arm away to initiate the combo. And since he's a heavy weight, he responds well to Round Kicks once his Focus is drained. This makes it easy to hit Combo #1 on him as well

Combo #8 can be best done against any Heavyweight such as Rider, One Jab and Kawharu. I was able to get it on One Jab and Kawharu. Kick to get yourself into long range then put your Left Leg behind your right one, this will do a Spin Heel Kick. Hope that they duck under it and BEFORE they recover quickly do a low Left Round Kick to start the combo.

I unlocked Combo Expert while working on the 20 wins against each character in Open League(Nightmare achievements). So if you don't have that many combos yet, don't worry as there's plenty of time to get them in Open League. These combos will NOT always initiate even if you fulfill them properly. Just keep trying until they do. Factors such as timing, opponent type, focus, and luck can come into play with these. Please note the way the Kinect reads you moves as flailing around will severely screw up the way the game reads you and ruin your combos from initiating/finishing. Good Luck.

I still have left to do number 7 and 8. I have not yet tried number 8 because I am stuck at number 7. It wont trigger for me nomathoer how much i try. The guy in the video in training mode makes it even when the trainers focus is full. I am of course doing this against piston joe as i know it wont count if i do it in training. But even when i empty his focus bar i cant get it to trigger. I do the right move when he is preparing his left hook. I just cant get my punch to hit him! He always dodge!

I guess it is just a luck factor but after trying for more than two hours with combo 7 i just dont know what will trigger it because i just cant get it done.

Anyone have more advice than what i have read in here?

A list of all of the moves you need to use to trigger the combo sequences is located on page 15 of the in game manual. Here's a recap though, along with the opponent I pulled off the combo on.

1.When your opponent blocks a Left Round Kick and before he puts his foot on the ground, strike him with another Left Round Kick. (Kawharu)
2.Strike your opponent with a Right Overhand while he is preparing a Right Hook. (Piston Joe)
3.If your opponent dodges a strike, follow up with a Right Elbow Strike before he raises his guard. (Piston Joe)
4.When your opponent blocks a Right Round Kick, and before he puts his foot on the ground, strike him with another Right Round Kick. (Kawharu)
5.If you dodge an opponent's Overhand Right, use a Right Hook to counter. (Piston Joe)
6.If you dodge an opponent's Spinning Left Back Fist, use a Spinning Right Back Fist to counter. (Kawharu)
7.Strike your opponent with a Left Overhand while he is preparing a Left Hook. (Piston Joe)
8.If your opponent dodges a Spinning Heel Kick, strike him with a Left Round Kick before he raises his guard. (Mover)

*Round Kicks should be aimed at the Hip/Waist area.

From general experience it is easier to trigger the combo sequences when you have almost fully reduced your opponent's focus state bar (the bar on the right), however when you are countering to trigger the combo sequence, the combo can be easily pulled off at any time.

Bascially you have to do a roundhouse kick, that your opponent will hopefully dodge, immediately after the roundhouse kick you should then aim a circluar kick at his upper thigh/ hip. If it works the sequence will appear afte you land the kick. Me and my brother spent about 4 hours trying before we finally managed to land a couple on Mover, its probably the hardest combo to trigger but not to hard to actually pull off.

I have one question. Did you do these combos on the first levels or in open league. I can only seem to get the roundhouse combo to work and just twice in about 40 games. The overhand right while opponent is preparing for a right hook seems very easy but the combo never triggers for me.

You can do them at any stage during the game except against the training guy right at the beginning. All I can say is look in the manual to see if your performing the moves right. Good luck

Just a tip for combo 8. I'm able to perform this almost every match. I did it against Rider. Basically, just kick him away with a straight kick so that he jumps back and dodges your kick. Then wait until he starts coming forward and do a LEFT spinning heel kick and immediately do a LEFT roundhouse kick to his hip. It doesn't work every single time, but you'll get it within 1 or 2 matches. It is also the most devastating combo out there because it staggers him so you can just unload on him with a bunch of punches while he just sits there and takes it.

You don't unlock them as such. You have to pull off the requisite moves to trigger the combo sequences.

I finally got this achievement. For those having a problem with Combo #8 I suggest taking a few minutes to redo the training portion for the left spinning heel kick and left roundhouse.

I got it against Mover but I triggered it a few times with Ratface too. Mover's good since you can counter him with jabs to get his concentration to 0 while still leaving him enough life to try for the combo a few times. Regardless of who you fight never ever sweep after you block a high kick with your knee. Your opponent regains almost 2 bars of concentration. Just do a roundhouse since that's the only move in my experience that triggers at all aside from a sweep.

If you're not trigger the combo when you've reduced their concentration to 0 after the dodge the left spinning heel kick, then you're simply kicking too high. Redo the tutorials and you'll get the range. It's actually more of a low sweep. The same kicking motion will do a low kick in close/medium range and a mid roundhouse from far range. That's what kept messing me up.

Aside from that just take it slowly, drain their concentration and forward kick them away once they're almost 0. Then just go for it. It's luck based since they'll sometimes get hit instead.

Just a quick question. How do you unlock combos? Do you basically have to just fulfill to conditions and then you unlock them? Simply put, can you do the combos even if you didn't unlock them yet?
